I was able to go to our 24 hour CVS and they had the display with $2/1 peelies. I bought 6 total even though only 4 had peelies. Huge MM! Since DH shaves his head every day he'll go through it in no time.

He's pretty particular about his shaving cream though so he is going to use it for the morning shave to make sure he likes it and if so, I'll head out to get more.

Wow, sucks that I only have 2 coupons for Skintimate; however it's such a good deal I'll still be able to stock up on this. Just debating on if I should do this in sets of 2s or 3s. lol.

Im new to this, so I don't understand why it's harder to use the ECB if it has a big amount? Is the ECB not a gift card type thing? Do you have to use thwhole amount that is on the card in one transaction? Could someone explain for me? Thanks!

It's not a gift card. It's a little coupon that prints out for 1, 2, 3, etc... dollars off your next order. If you don't exceed the amount, you lose the full value, for example: your purchase is $2.50 and you are paying with a $3 ECB. .50 will be lost unless you add in a small "filler item", or pay with a smaller ECB coupon.

A larger ECB isn't necessarily bad tho, especially if you consider the $10/$30 Cash Card deals, or all of the $3/$10, $5/$15, and $10/$20 ECB deals. Do 2-3 deals at once and you're going to be over $20.

In my case, since the New Year, I've been doing fewer transactions and just carrying over ECBs to the next week. It was taking too long at check-out doing 3+ transactions, and then having to sort out my ECBs for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th order. The cashiers were getting annoyed, and I was looking incompetent, so I decided to just start doing larger orders and savings the ECBs til next sale*.



* It helps so much that Isis provides the CVS ads up to a couple weeks in advance! I can start planning out my transactions and gathering coupons and ECBs well ahead of time! If nothing appeals to me for the next week, I can focus on the week after!

Yes shelf tags actually say limit 100. I got 19 last night (that's all they had). Bought in sets of 2 or 3. No peelies on mine though. I'm betting the deal gets cut before long. Hydro MOISTURIZING does NOT work--only sensitive. All flavors of skintimate are included but NOT the plastic bottles.

When you get the first $4 ECB, can you use that same one to pay for the next one - and will you get another $4 ECB or do you have to pay with other $?

You'd have to add a small filler if you want to use the full value of the $4 ecb. If the shave gel is $3.89 you'd loose .11 b/c the cashier would have to adj down. I don't mind a penny or two, but .11 is to much for me!

Thank you OP for posting, I saw this mentioned on another board after I had logged off HCW yesterday morning. I myself never tested the deal b/c dh and I both have quite enough shave cream at the moment and even though its a small MM, I can't quite justify bringing home anymore... esp after I just cleaned out my bathroom & laundry room closets... I have nowhere to uh..hide.. them!

With that said, I would advise doing no more than 3-4 per transaction b/c more than that you wind up with a very large ECB that the manager will have to verify (I think if its over $20 value). I find $12-$15 is more manageable to roll anyway.

My local CVS (24 hours) was out this morning. I went to the CVS (opening at 8am) that's 5 minutes further away and they were FULLY STOCKED with Skintimate (probably about 6-8 bottles of each type on the shelf). I bought one to "check", then another to "check", then two to check to make sure the ECBs multiplied, then I bought 5 at once. I only had 4 Skintimate coupons, but that's fine with me! Can't beat free/money maker! I used some GCs and ECBs to pay for the initial purchases and I left with $24 in ECBs for next time!

The cashier was shocked. She kept expecting there to be a limit but every time my receipt printed out the ECBs were there and the "offer limit" was not reached.

I have a few friends and family members who are a bit down on their luck, I know they will really appreciate the shave gel!

I bought 6 this morning - 1 Schick (all they had) and 5 Skintimate. Did them in groups of 2. I'm going to stop there again tomorrow because they had another 6-8 as long as the deal is still on!

Skintimate is a MM even without coupons. I just got back and the receipt has skintimate $3.79 and I got $4 ECB's. I haven't read the entire thread so don't know if this is a repeat. But good info to have anyway.
