"Lag time" with Beauty Club Balances

First, I want to thank everyone for putting up with my crazy questions. I've posted several and everyone has been so kind and helpful! As I've said before in other threads, I'm not new to couponing, but I'm new to CVSing, and thanks to all of you, I'm in with CVS now!

This is the first time I've been signed up for the Beauty Club, and for days my balance online has been at $41 and change. I've got a big deal in the works for this Sunday, so I went to CVS today to see what good beauty deals I could get to get me over $50. I walked in, scanned my card, and my $5 BC coupon popped out! Before I even purchased anything else!

I'm not COMPLAINING, but this morning my account was still showing me about $9 short. So what kind of lag time are we looking at on the website? All I have bought recently in that category were the Revlon beauty tools on Sunday, but those only came to about $5.

So now I'm confused... lol. I logged on when I got back home and now my balance is showing at $54 and change.

One more question. NOW I'm annoyed... lol.

How much are the Nabisco "To-Go" cups regularly at CVS? The tag on the shelf (at TWO stores) said $1.00. It was not a sales tag. It did not say a "full price" and then say a dollar. It JUST said $1.00.

I had 9 of the $2/3 Nabisco coupons that expire in two days, so I had to go to two stores to get those today. First store was practically out. They only had 9 cups of the varieties I wanted, so I bought those minus $6 in coupons. Came to $3. Receipt said I saved $6.

Went to the second store that was fully stocked. Bought 18. I gave the cashier my 25% off coupon and she said it wouldn't work b/c they were on sale. I explained that it was a regular tag on the shelf. She still said it wouldn't work. I asked if she would at least scan it to see if anything came off. She refused. So I gave her my coupons, they took off $12 and I paid $6.

$9 for 27 cups isn't bad, but it would have been nice to get the 25% off the 18 cups.
Am I wrong and they are on sale even tho it's not marked as a sale? And I wonder why she couldn't even TRY to scan the coupon?

Today has been a crappy day all around. This is following a DISASTROUS Target trip this morning where two cashiers gave me the run-around and I ended up just having the sale voided and walking out. UGH!

Well, for your 1st question, I think there is a 24-48 hr lag between updates. All I know is that what I bought last week wasn't on my receipt on Sunday, nor showed up online. When I shopped yesterday, it still didn't catch up, so out of curiosity, I logged into my account a little while ago and the balance is finally caught up, including my Sunday purchase.

For your 2nd, I think the 10/$10 is considered a "promotion", so that might be why the cashier wouldn't accept the % coupon.
