Green Tag Question

What's the story with the green tag? When I first got it, the ECB printed after just 4 swipes-now it's been 7 and my receipt says I still need one more. Does the number increase after the first ecb prints? And will it stay at 8 or will it increase again?

Mine has always credited after 4. I haven't had any problems.

I believe it keeps a running tally of how many times you've ever used it. So for every 4 times, you get $1 ECB. One more to go until you get it. Then your next will be after 12 and so on. HTH!

okay now that makes sense-although I though I had used it more than they said I did.

if its on your key ring you might have to remind them to scan it

It will only count once per day. So if you do multiple transactions, only one will count.
I have heard people say it works once at each store, but I've never tried that.
Anyone know?

I have had it work more than once per day if I go to different stores back to back. I have also had it not work. So, I wouldn't count on it, but if it does, bonus.

I have tried scanning the gbt at 2 different stores on the same day, and only the first scan counted. So a big bonus if you luck out getting a 2nd scan count at a different store on the same day.

I was close to 100 scans (97 or 98) with my original gbt and then I lost it. When I started using a new gbt, my tally continued where I left off with the old one. I always thought you needed to use the same gbt, but I guess not.

I use the same tag for both my CVS card and my husband's CVS card. It's not linked to the card number, but it'll add it to whichever card is scanned. I asked the manager if I needed a separate one and he said no.
