Had anyone had problems with getting $10GC?

This week I ran into 2 separate problems.

1. I bought enough CG to get $20 GC, CRT printed for $20, but when cashier tried to use it to "pay" for my $20 CVS GC, it took only $10 off. She ended up entering $10 cash and said she will balance her register later.

2. Yesterday I ended up with $59.28 towards deal. Yeahhh, I know, poor planning. Got $10 GC. Cashier said "Oh, go get something else", but I wanted to look for more Planter's qs. Went today, got $12 of Planter's, receipt showed $71.28 towards deal, but... no CRT for GC printed!!! Cashier called manager and manager printed $10 CRT and used it to give me GC.

So both problems solved fairly easily (love my CVS!), but I wish they wouldn't happened. KWIM?

So did anyone had same/similar/any kind problems with this deal?

I had the same problem as #1 and my cashier did the same thing- cashed it out and made note of it for when balancing the register. I didn't consider it a big deal for me since I got my $20, but I am sure it was a a pain for the employees since it obviously wasn't programmed correctly

I ran into a problem 2 weeks ago but never got mt GC and have not been back. Their registers were all messed up. I didn't realize I didn't get it until I was home and I don't have a car.

The first example happened to me, but the clerk immediately said, "Oh, that error again. Lets see if I remember how to correct it" and I got my $20 gc with no trouble. I guess something was entered incorrectly at corporate from what she said.

I also had problem #1. The manager fixed it. She says that if they are not going to work right that they should print off onto seperate coupons.

I had a similar problem from last week - it didn't count any of the Olay Regenerist that I had purchased but it did count the CoverGirl. Called and they verified that it didn't count it and the GC should print in 48 hrs. Glad to hear I'm not the only one having issues.

I had #1 happen last week. If I had more time, I would have tried to get the GC, but I was waiting for like 30 minutes as she tried to figure out what to do. She called another store and they told her to print an ECB and then use that to buy a CVS GC, but we all know you cant do that. She really didn't know what to do at that point and I was going to be late for church if I didn't leave, so I got the $10 ECB and was on my way. It would have been better to have a GC, but I will do my best to roll it.
