soft soap deal

Hi,
I have a question about cvs an the soft soap deal.

I have a coupon for $1 off any softsoap brand body wash 12oz or larger.
It is a Manufacturers coupon.
But i got it out of a book from walgreens some little book by the lotions at my store. It has " W instant value coupon good at walgreens" wrote on the front. Can i use it at cvs for the softsoap deal sincee it is a Manufacturers coupon.

Nope, If it says Walgreens instant value coupon that's a walgreens store coupon so you can't use it at CVS; but there is a printable coupon on the softsoap website for .75 off 1 bodywash if you can print.

I don't have this coupon myself but I'm pretty sure you can as long as it is coded as a true manufacturer's coupon and does not state "redeemable only at Walgreens", or something to that effect.

Onthe back under the part where it says manufacturers coupon and about the cconsume/retailer it says reedemable at food, drug, discount and other stores accepting coupons

Does the barcode start with a 9 or 5? Or is there an address for the store to redeem it? If so, it's probably a manufacturer coupon. Walgreens coupons start with another number and have no mail to address because they redeem themselves.

More and more stores have added this "clause" to their coupon policies lately.

I would check with my store manager. Since the coupon said it was a manufacturer's coupon I used it. It scanned without any problems and the cashier took it without question. If I was wrong I apologize but since it said manufacturer's coupon not walgreens coupon I thought it was ok.
