Clearance L'oreal True Match and Bare Naturale

My favorite cashier told me last week that they would be moving out most of their cosmetics for a major remodel. So I've been keeping an eye out. I found 2 L'oreal items on clearance at 75% off today:

    - True Match Powder C7 - regular price $10.99, clearance $2.75
    - Bare Naturale Lip Conditioner - regular price $10.69, clearance $2.69

Using the $5/2 L'oreal coupons, the powder comes out to $0.25 each and the lip conditioner comes out to $0.19 each.

    Great filler items....!

Silly me though, I didn't use the 10% off cosmetic coupon I got from joining the Beauty Club yesterday.

I got a total of $26.58 and used $1.50 in ECBs and $0.08 cash to pay for them.

This leads me to my next debatable issue - When you purchase something on clearance and go to total the value of the product you purchased... do you add up the clearance price of the item, or the regular sale price? In this case, there'd be a huge and very impressive difference - instead of saying I got $26.85 in product, I could say I got $107.80 worth of product...

    Thoughts?

I like the big number for bragging but the truth is that most of us would only pay the clearance price (with coupons ) so that is more realistic.

When I count my savings, I count the retail price, or the price before it was clearanced. That's just me, though, I like to see how much a regular (or, non coupon using) person would have paid for everything I got.

Where does the 107.80 come from? Wasn't 26.85 the regular price? So you got 26.85 in product, right? Or am i missing...

I got the Bare Naturale Lip Conditioner at Walgreens and love it! It's not that sticky shiny oil slick feel that long hair gets caught on.

If it makes you feel any better, the 10% discount is good on regular priced items only. :)
