I am so loving that I need a new scrip every month for a certain drug. So far I have been able to use 3 competier coupons to get a $25 gc. Is there an end to this or can I keep going?

N. CA wife and mother of 2 girls ages 16 & 10Take a look at my have list here
My CVS pharmacists have told me that there is a limit to once or twice (can't remember which) every 6 months.
My scripe is for ADD meds, which requires a new prescribtion given to me every month.
I have many CVS locations around me and have not used the same one. I just got my third card this past week in the past 4 months. I have health insurance so I am in the system. I also have 2 cards so not sure if I have used the same one. Am I cheating?
I get gift cards for refills. It is YMMV. Call your CVS and find out what they will do. Also, there is no limit.
Wait, so does CVS always have this deal, or do you have to wait until you get a coupon for the $25 gc?
Tammyherman, I do the same thing, my son is on Adderallxr which is considered a controlled substance so therefore a new rx must be written every month. I have to take my son in each month to see the dr., get his weight checked and we get a new rx that has to be written out.
It is considered a new script.
I however have 3 pharmacies that I bounce my son's, my husband's thyroid medication and mine to/from. Wags, Target, CVS & HEB. I usually get coupons either in the mail, from the companies (which WAGS does more than the others) I also get the CRTs for them from Target alot (I use my target credit card) and I have gotten a few CRTs from CVS. I also get the in-ad ones too. (most of the in-ad ones say for a new or transferred RX)
Target mostly does $10 ones (their in-ad ones) but the CRTs I get from them are for $20. WAGS, CVS & HEB ones are for $25. Every time I transfer my rx away from WAGs they send me in the mail a $25 check to bring it back. The check isn't as good as getting the gift cards tho, you have to spend the entire $25 in one trip (they won't give cash back and won't let you use it to buy a gift card.)
I have been doing this for about a year now and have never had any issues. I have had to fill maybe 2 or 3 of them without a coupon. Considering our meds come out to maybe $30 a month total, it's not bad.

Does CVS take competitor coupons for their gift card with prescription?
Is there any out there right now that I could easily find? Need one today.
Thanks.![]()
