I have 2 cards (one is mine, the other is my college age daughter's who has her own household) and scanned them 2 days in a row and got these great coupons on each card twice. So, that meant 4 boxes of FREE Aqua Globes. I have them in some planters and they are filled with water, but I will keep on the look-out for yellow leaves. Thanks for the heads up as I am not the best with plants.
Always happy to find a deal!!

FYI, YMMV when using the 3 dollar coupon on an item that is less that 3.00, like the Vita Grass, as to whether you get the full $3.00 off, or just the price of the item you buy. I had one awesome cashier who took off the full 3 dollar coupon, even though the grass itself was only 1.25. When my dad tried to do it, however, a different cashier insisted that she could only take off $1.25, and that there would be no overage, even though he was buying other items as well. When we called the manager, the manager backed up the not so nice cashier, which was kind of a bummer. My dad was so excited to get free eggs from the coupon overage!

Not a huge deal of course, still did very well today at CVS for my dad. Just hope I didn't get the nice cashier in trouble for giving me the full $3.00 coupon from a previous transaction.

I bought the Grill Daddy (the thing that cleans with steam). It was marked $14.99 and scanned at $10.04 but summer stuff was supposed to be 75% off so the cashier rang it up at $3.75 for me, less the $3 coupon. It's not a great product but for 75c I can live with it.

I'm going to go back and look for the VitaGrass and hopefully get another coupon from the machine.

Overage is always YMMV. I hope the nice cashier didn't get in serious trouble but I'm sure they got on to her/him about it though. (*I'm saying this in a nice tone->) You just got lucky the first time so making a bigger issue of it just makes couponers seem like a pain to deal with. Pick your battles wisely my dear ..you want friends at CVS not cashiers that may resent you. They could start giving you a hard time...all the time.

Thank you for the helpful tips! I could've sworn I saw somewhere that you would get the overage if you bought other items, which is why I was confused. Luckily, I don't think I made too much of a deal about it, and I made sure to thank the cashier for clarifying the rules. I'll make sure to remember that in the future though!

Your welcome! Glad you took it how I meant it.

Yes the register will allow the overage most of the time (the coupon will scan for the full amount off) BUT depending on the cashier you get....He/she will either let it slide, didn't notice the overage, doesn't care OR you may get a cashier who is very detailed oriented or is just not willing to allow you to get the overage...kwim.

So that is why it's YMMV.

I got a penny overage on the aqua globes. The manager was doing the transaction and I told him that I probably will need to be adjusted and it took $3 off and he just said, nope it took. Love that! No fuss and no problems! =D
