CVS ~ Question: Extra Care Bucks printing Saturday for Sunday sale

Tonight I went to purchase Pampers and Dove soap advertised for sale next week with ECB promo. The CVS I go to had all the signs up for next week's sale and I have done this numerous times (go on Sat night for the following week's sales/ECB). I got my ECBs for the Pampers with no problem but not for the Dove soap. The cashier checked the shelf and agreed I should have gotten the ECBs. She called the MOD, I assume, who told her I had to come in tomorrow and scan my card on the machine they had by the door which prints coupons and I would get my ECBs. I asked her if she was sure I would get my ECBs and she told me I would.

When I left, I realized the soap had been on sale this week for $2.99 and not $3 like next week, so I paid the $2.99 price. Does anybody know for sure if my ECBs will print? The last time this happened, the cashier gave me cash back (don't know why). I don't recall my ECBs printing for that one. Anyone know?

If I don't get the ECBs, can I return and rebuy? What will happen? I used an X/XX coupon plus other ECBs I had.

If you return it if the item doesnt print ECb . you will get whatever cash you paid back and the rest goes on a money card. Not sre that because you used a $/$$ coupon that that will get refunded as well or just the soap itself. more then likely only the soap. just have t use the money card first when rebuying then the remainder in cash.

The ECB will not print later. You can send customer service an email and explain what happened and they can set it to print in a few days or you can just return and rebuy.

Sometimes it has happened to me whwen I try to do the sunday deals on saturday evening. Even though the signs are up, sometimes it does go through properly probaly becuase the same product is on sale on both weeks.

Usually when you find out the ECb didn't print out at the check out, they probably will enter the event code and print the ECB for you instantly. I wonder why they didn't do that for you?!!!

In your case it's best you return them and rebuy them. You will probaly get Money card, if you did not pay atleast the amount of soap from out of pocket money.

i had a problem with the dove soap ecb's prinnting today too... the kotex and the aveeno deals printed fine. I plan on returning the soap, and re-buying it, all my other coupons would have been valid w/o me buying the soap, so I am hoping that they won't give me a hard time. May even return it w/o a receipt and just get it on the money card. They usually just give you the lowest price that the soap has been on sale for in the past few weeks.

Thanks! I didn't think the ECBs would print out. I doubt the MOD did either. Was being lazy. I go to that CVS all the time, so I know how it works. I will probably return the soap and rebuy. Not sure how it will affect how I paid. I used $/$$ coupon, manu coupons and ECBs. The soap was used to get to the amount I needed for the $/$$.
