CVS ~ Clearance: cold medicine clearance 75% off

don't know if this was posted yet, stopped by today and there were tons of cold medicines 50-75% off. robitussion (sp?) adults and kids cough syrup, tylenol cold and sinus, nyquil gel caps and cough syrup. and none of the exp dates were until 10/11. with coupons, it would make most of this stuff free!

DD had her wisdom teeth done today and was walking around the store while her script was filled and noticed this as well. I didn't have my q's on me, but most only had 1-2 left in the slots so I grabbed what we use while I could get my hands on them. Got 2 Triaminic Cough and Sore Throat (when it's cold season I can never find just plain cough med anywhere since they're too young for cold medicine so I wasn't about to pass this one up) $1.49 ea; Vick's niquil liquid $1.67; cvs chest rub in lavender and cherry $.99 ea

can't wait to go back and match-up q's to really score some deals!

Ok, here is one matchup that I know the exact prices for (at least at my cvs)

Children's Triaminic Syrup Cough & Sore Throat (grape flavor liquid) 75% Clearance Price $1.87 IP (in database) for $1.50/1 = $0.37 UPC# 30043-6348-04-3 exp Sept 11

I also printed out q's for Robitussin ( in database) $1/1 and I know there was some Robitussin on clearance for 75% off, but I can't remember the kinds or prices. I'm going back first thing in the AM and will note everything I see and post.

Hope you feel better soon:) I wanted dig my coupons and keep them on hand incase I find these on clearance.

Even though I always go to CVS well prepared, things get little messy when I have a scenario and I don't find those product/ they are already out of advertised items for that week. I was happy for the past 2 weeks as I got all the things I need and little stress while checking out.

I went back today to get more meds with my coupon matchups and all the clearance tags were gone! I asked the lady stocking in the next aisle and she said that they were probably being moved to a cart with a 75% off sign near the register, so look there also.

Since the tags were gone I couldn't compile a list for ya, sorry. I can tell you that besides the triaminic listed in my above post I got Robitussin Cough & Cold Nightime Adult Liquid on clearance for $2.87 and used a $1/1 IP from the database.

Just wanted others to know that when I saw these clearance items at my CVS yesterday I found something to help with the deals.

I didnt have any coupons with me (yeah go figure ) but I looked around the store and found a cvs booklet - cant remember what was on the cover - but it had two pages of coupons in it. I only used one which was $3.00 off any 2 tylenol sinus or cold, but there were others. The booklet was found on an end cap with Zertec and some other allergy medicine.

I stopped in my cvs had t pick up smokes for the hubby. i didnt see any clearanced meds at that one. I was gonna stop at the other one but I didnt have the energy to do so so just headed home. blah.
