CVS ~ Vent: Be careful what you wish for?

I just got home from doing all my ECB deals for the week. Spent $14 got about $60 worth of stuff.
Came home to an email with a $5 off of $40 coupon that has to be used by saturday.
I was complaining about never getting an $x/$xx coupon, well now I got one!

I'm still tickled pink over the great deals I got today, so I'm not complaining just laughing at the irony

Check your coupon again. I got one today. It's good through Sunday the 25th.

This is why I always check my email and mailbox right before I leave the house. I can't count the number of times I've found a great coupon I could have used in the mail or email. Just my luck, I get home to find a check in the mail, right after I've made a run to the bank!

I got a $5/25 in my email, also good til Sunday too. But a few weeks ago, I got one valid 3 Days Only - Thurs/Fri/Sat, which is what OP may have gotten.

Yep, 3 days only.

Seriously though, it probably wouldn't have mattered if I had gotten it before I shopped. I don't have a lot of ECB's so I make my transactions small to have minimum OOP, so I probably wouldn't have been able to use it anyway.

Rule of thumb - Thursdays and Fridays are the days when people get $/$$ emailed to them. 90% of the time. They usually come every other week, sometimes every week if the deals are pretty good. This upcoming week has Pampers. I got $5/$40, will make for pretty cheap diapers.

Sometimes CVS emails them on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. But those emailings are rare.

I never get any coupons from them.
I wish CVS liked me.
