QUESTION Do you leave and come back?

Do you make a totally different trip per transaction? Or do you make a transaction, go back and get more stuff and make another?
I have two toddlers and getting them in and out of their carseats for a million transactions would get frustrating LOL

by go back and make another I mean without leaving the store at all. Guess I should have been clearer, LOL

Only if the cashier says they cannot do multiple transactions,
but that is normally at Walgreen's.

Another reason I may leave and come back is when my kids have me flustered and I cannot think straight. Imay go back to the car and "regroup".

Best wishes!!

haha, I could certainly see that happening. I did my first walgreens transaction yesterday and it took a lot more time and concentration than I thought it would and I didn't even have the kids with me!

It does get better, really! It gets so that you have the deals in your head by the time you walk in...you just start putting each deal up on the counter in succession.

The big thing is you're doing it!!

The rush is amazing when you first start. DH always has to laugh when I get back and exclaim how little I spent on so much! :D

i'd like to invite you to read through the wagon train post.

i suggest that you set up 2 transactions. the first is in the cart, and the second in the little plastic bucket that you set in the cart. finish one, then pull out the second, all ready to go. that will at least double your productivity.

whew- i was lucky- my 3 kids were grown before i met cvsing. but i remember grocery shopping with "help".

haha, I've been reading the intro posts for months now. I finally got up the nerve to just do it!
I like the idea of having a transaction in the cart and another in the bucket.

It is a rush absolutely I've never tired of saving and getting so much for so little OOP - when and if the day comes that I don't feel 'accomplished' shopping like this is the day I'll probably not be breathing
