Help! I screwed up Nivea!

I think, from what I've read, that today is the last day for Nivea. And that you could do that deal 5x. Correct?

I've been so busy that I couldn't get there until today. First, I tried 3 mens' wash, thinking I would at least try for the 14.97, and if it didn't work, go back & get something else.

When I got my receipt--No ECB. *But* it said that it rang up 3.99, not 4.99, so I only hit 11.97--not even close to $15. I had my two munchkins with me and they were fighting over who was going to steer the car-cart, so I just went home, we ate lunch & they went down for a nap.

I gathered up more coupons and went back. I figured I needed at least one more men wash to hit $15. And another 4 men wash for another deal. And another 4. Total of 9, I had 9 coupons.

I scanned the women's and it was ringing up 4.99, not 5.99. So I grabbed 6 of those for another 2 deals.

I don't mind having larger ECBs, and even though the women's is a better deal, hubby needs it more than I do.

So, all together that should be 5 deals, right?

The one I started this morning, two more mens deals, two womens.
I had the $15 meter ecb from a few weeks ago. But I had 15 bottles of wash that were going to cost me 0.99 each after coupons, threw in a 0.99 hallmark card to eat up the rest.

I only got one $5 ECB from Nivea. I was expecting $25 total. My receipt says amount towards: 26.97, amount needed 15.00.

If I ended up having a net loss of $10 ecb because I screwed up, no big deal. But, did I screw up?

This is a little different than most of the deals CVS has. They aren't rolling over. Each deal has to be $15 or above and you only get one $5 ECB per transaction. So if you got $16 in Nivea, you would get $5 ECB and if you got $26 in Nivea you would get $5 in ECB. They have to be done separately.

At least that's what I've read :)

Ah, that's weird. No, I hadn't read that. But it still doesn't make sense, if I purchased 15 items today, that only 26.97 recorded. Oh well, win some, lose some.
