cvs---I didn't get my ExtraCareBucks for the John Frieda deal

I just ran out at lunch and didn't pay attention to my receipt. I didn't get the ECBs either. Funny thing is there's nothing listed at the bottom that says how much I have toward the deal. I bought the no frizz poos and conditioners. I wonder if they are NOT part of the deal? I don't think it has anything to do with the $14.97 requriement. What does your receipt say at the bottom?

I could not print anything from the coupon machines either while I was there. It said "updating the system" or something like that. Maybe new software being installed or something messed this up.

I wonder if they're doing some new software testing or something? My store was "offline" Sunday, so I didn't get any ECBs for the Dove or Dial nor did it show any totals at the bottom from this week. Curiously, though, my Green Bag tag scan was counted.

I didn't notice until I was on my way out the door, and by the time I got back to the register a clot of people was starting to form, including another woman who didn't get her ECBs. Rather than wait around for the cashier to check out half a dozen people and figure out how to print the ECBs, I emailed CS.

They emailed me back saying my ECBs would print Thursday. And the weird thing is, I did half the Biore deal at my store, just to see if they were back on yet, and the other half of the deal at another store. I got credit at store 2 but not store 1. I called CS this time, and the woman I talked to said there wasn't anything she could do about it now (this was Monday) and to call back Thursday.

I emailed on Sunday and just got this reply yesterday:

i got the same response from "Ashley" when i contacted them.:hectic1:

the cashier ended up having to have the manager at the store issue me the $5 because it did NOT print when i made a purchase this morning. i scanned my card at the kiosk beforehand and i did receive a $5/40. not sure what went so wrong with this deal!

Ok, not to beat a dead horse on this issue but....... I am still a bit confused.

I also spent $14.97 last week and did not get my bucks.

My slip says I need $15.03 to get the reward.

I honestly dont want to buy another $15 worth of the John Freida. So.... would it be ok to assume that if I bought just one more for $5 this week (and used a $2.50 coupon) that the ECB will print??

I dont want to deal with calling or emailing about it.

I bought 3 Volumizing?? (blue bottles) John Friedas yesterday and I got my ECBs. But at my store they rang up $5, not $4.99 as some others are reporting. And there were tags under them $5 ECB wyb $15. So my total was $15. I also used (2) $2.50 IPs and a $1 tearpad Q. Hope that helps someone.

I honestly think sometimes that the prices (mostly at Walgreens though) are made to force you to buy beyond the dollar amount necessary to get the deal $.

That $4.99 or $6.99 type pricing always leave you a few pennies short unless you go WAY over (at least $2 in most cases by buying a more expensive product).

When I see deals like that I just get ticked and don't do them. Impossible to hit the $15 spot on type of problem.
