QUESTION cvs---Coupons that are manufacturers', but have a store name?

I just received coupons in the mail. They're great coupons and say "manufacturer coupon" at the top but they have the name "Jewel Osco" on them too. Does that mean they can only be used there?

    Thanks!

each retail store has it's own policy regarding accepting 'competitor coupons'.

if you are asking specifically about using them at CVS, my CVS told me the other day that they will take any comp coupon as long as it's a manf coupon.

i'm not sure if this is a corporate CVS policy or if each store manager can set it's own policy.

At WM I have tried to use coupons that say "manufacturers' coupon" but also have the Target logo on them and they say they can't take them.

I don't know about other stores.

I have used the manufacturer's coupons with the Target logo at other stores....but right now, I cannot remember where!! When I see "manufacturer's coupon" I guess I have always thought they can be used anywhere since it is coded as manufacturer's and not store specific like the Video Values at Rite Aid that are coded as Rite Aid coupons starting with RC and a bar code!

Thanks for your help! One of the coupons is a $2 off Pampers. I'm hoping to use it at CVS. We'll see if they take it :).

Oh, and I shop at Wal Mart some too. They always say they'll take comp coupons but so far they haven't taken any that I've tried to use. I gave up.

I guess all you can do is try it....I wish all stores were on the same page on this one...I would think since it was a manufacturer's coupon and states that at the top that it could be used anywhere. The worst they can say is no...and in that case, you can have them remove the item!

I got a flyer with Cub Foods coupons in it the other day and we don't have a Cub Foods anywhere near here...but they read Manufacturer's coupons on them...so I am hoping to be able to use them (or pass them on to someone in a train or RAOK that can use them!)
