QUESTION cvs--First time shopping at CVS, need some help please! :)

Okay so I've never shopped at CVS, but I'm starting. I'm missing out on too much!

Okay so I want to do the spend $25 earn $10 ECB deal.

I really wanted to do the pedialyte deal, but I didn't get those coupons in my inserts.

So I plan on buying 1 Pampers big box diaper. And, 2 Johnson products.
    = $25.97
And using 1 -$2.00 pamper coupon and 2 -$1.00 Johnson coupon. Bringing my total to $21.97..

Okay so my question is (Can you tell I've never shopped there?) As long as I bring my total to $25 before coupons, I'll recieve the $10 ECB right?

AND (lol), Can I then turn that $10 right around and purchase toothpaste and such?

If I can, can I use it this way:
    Buy 1 Colgate toothpaste $2.99
Buy 1 skintimite shave gel $3.99
    Buy 1 Irish spring $ 4.99
Buy 1 Speed stick stain guard 3.49
    = $15.46
    -$ .75 man Q on colgate
    -$1.00 man Q Irish spring
    -$.50 man Q speed stick.
And then use the $10 ECB
Brining my total to $3.21 ... And then I would get back $9.99 in ECB right?

Thank you anyone who can help me!! I just can't get my head around the ECB program and I don't want to mess anything up. Thank you again!!

Yes you are correct. Spend 25 BEFORE coupons you will get back the ecb.

AND (lol), Can I then turn that $10 right around and purchase toothpaste and such?

Looks like a great FIRST trip to me. Remember at first you will spend more out of pocket. But once your ecb dollar amount rises and coupons increase, your out of pocket will decrease as well.

Also when I was starting out I read the wagon train faithfully. Lots of good info in there

One more question! :) I've read that CVS does take IP Q, but... I found a IP B1G1 Pedialyte Q (YAY!) In the database. Do you think I would have a problem using a IP B1G1 Q?

no, you shouldn't have a problem. better deal to pair it up with a $$ off coupon.

there is a 1.50 pedialyte manufacturer's q on the target website. I am putting my toddler to sleep right now so can't get up to read it but since it's a manufacturer coupon you technically should be able to use it. YMMV.

I CVS on and off - and my CVS is awesome!! But go at the slowest time of the day, look for the nicest cashier - and take some extra q's with you - if they comment give them some. Last week my cashier (i was buying diapers) mentioned that he should find some diaper coupons - Today I gave him all my extra about to expire diaper coupons - and I will continue to look for deals for him too! He was extra sweet about dealing with the fact that I had to ring up three seperate orders, with rainchecks and coupons.

One thing no one mentioned - scan your card at the coupon kiosk as soon as you walk in the store - you might luck out with a $5 of 25 (or some variety of that) and those can be used in addition to your other coupons.

Another tip - mark your calendar for the day before you extra bucks expire - there is nothing worse than an expired ECB.

Get a raincheck if they are out of any of the deals you want - they never expire!

Be careful though - it can get addictive. Also check the web - there are usually peeks of the coming weeks ads so you can plan your coupon trading accordingly.

I never have a problem using IP's at CVS. Their official policy is to take them if they scan. Because it's a BOGO q, that might pose a problem because it will beep. Again... I've never had a problem, but if you do, just try explaining to them that the only reason it beeped was because it needs a price entered.
