Like you said, "I know the regular cashier takes a full three minutes to read all the fine print". The problem is neither with the coupon, nor with CVS. Put this incident in the past, avoid him in future, and keep shopping merrily.
So I used my last Bayer meter coupon today (therefore I don't have any more to look at), and I made a mistake in going to a CVS where I know the regular cashier takes a full three minutes to read all the fine print on the Bayer meter coupons before accepting it. In the past I just waited for him to finish, then he'd take off the $15 without a word. Today, he took several minutes to read through it, and as he wrote the retail price in, said, "you know you're really supposed to mail these in yourself," and then something about "otherwise they wouldn't ask for the store stamp". But he took it anyway, thankfully, cause I didn't know what I was going to do if he tried to give it back to me! Anyone ever run into this? Is there a reason why he thought it was something like a mail-in rebate rather than a regular coupon? Hoping I didn't miss something... :shrug7:

the store has to stamp it and write in the code number, or they don't get the money back from bayer.
he should have read it for FOUR minutes, since he missed what it meant.

Yeah....that's silly. I've never heard that one from a cashier. I always write the serial number of the meter on the coupon before I get to the register so they get reimbursed. I have had some look at me funny....telling me I can't use a $30 coupon on a $14.99 meter. I calmly explain to them it says "up to" $30 and that I should only be credited for the sale price of the meter, but I've never heard one tell me to mail it in myself!!

I had a cashier tell me that if I didn't have diabetes, I shouldn't be using the coupon! She wanted my name.... ?????
Now THAT'S one I'd certainly put in a call to the manager about (and I never call the managers). That's not only ridiculous but down right out of line for her to ask/say to a customer! I mean....are men not supposed to buy tampons anymore or ladies not supposed to buy Just for Men hair cream?? What in the world??!! :hectic1::shrug7:

I haven't seen one of those q's in awhile but the last one I looked at actually stipulated that the coupon was reserved for people with diabetes so, as outrageous as it sounds on its face, I don't believe the cashier who asked that was really too far out of line.
