    QUESTION cvs----Was I right?

I bought 2 Reach floss, 1 bottle of Listerine. I had a buy 1 get 1 free for the floss, $1 off floss and a CVS store coupon for buy 3 reach/listerine and get $3 off. The cashier was arguing that I couldn't use the $1 off floss if I used the $3 coupon. I said it was a CVS coupon and the floss was a manufactured one. She finally pushed it through but gave me a look of disgust. Wasn't I correct?

Yes, you were correct. You are allowed to use a CVS coupon in conjunction with a manuf. coupon on the same item. It's odd that she protested that part of the transaction when some stores (including mine) would've pitched a fit about using the $1 off floss Q with the BOGO coupon. I say that's perfectly fine, but my store disagrees. :(

Today the cashier didn't want to take the CVS coupon for Cottonelle tp, said "our coupons don't look like this". I said they do when you print them directly from the CVS website. He took it to his manager and said they'd do it this time. I said no thanks, I'll go someplace else. He did it anyway, but clearly it pissed him off. I think they took it so they could hang onto the coupon to check it's validity. Fine by me. I ended up getting the $10.99 Cottonelle for $2.68 after the $2 CVS q, a $1 mq and $5.99 in ECBs. Sweet, but still annoying.

yep, you were right. id call corporate and not file a complaint per se, but just note the store and their ignorance of the coupon policy. that way theyll contact the manager and set his/her team straight

You were absolutely correct. The employee was absolutely wrong.
