the way my CVS does rainchecks is I have to pay for the item up front then they manually print off an ECB that is a "non-specific" after the entire transaction goes through. I had purchased a toothbrush once that was free after ECB's on the raincheck but I didnt realize it had printed me a 1 ECB during the actual transaction..I didn't realize it was a promotion at the time. so I ended up getting the $1 ecb on the original receipt then the $3.99 Ecb on the manually issued "raincheck" ECB and didn't realize I had gotten both till I ogt to the car and was looking at the days "work"

This happened to me the other day as well. I was using my nivea raincheck on Sunday because the coupon was expiring that day and I didn't realize the nivea lips were on sale. It printed me the 2.99 one for the week and they issued my ECB's for the $5 when you purchased $10.

I have some rainchecks for items from when they were free after ECB's. The question is ..For example this week the Glade reed diffusers are printing ECB's when you buy 10 get 4 ECB and I have rainchecks for free difussers so is it wrong for me to get the 4 ecb's and the full price ecb or should I just get one. I dont want to be a bad person or abuse the system but ECB's = free stuff and with lowered income due to layoffs every penny counts.

My thoughts exactly.
Sometimes even a legit deal just feels wrong. I always feel much better if I follow my conscience.
