QUESTION cvs --only one coupon per purchase???

I went to CVS tonight because I had a raincheck for 10 bottles of garnier shampoo. I had:
4/20 cvs coupons
(10) $1.00/1 garnier coupons

The guy at the register said, I will have to ask the manager, well we wait, the line was really forming behind me, since they only had one register open. The manager then told me I could only use one coupon, so I could pick between the 4/20 or one $1.00 garnier coupon, or do multiple transactions, so I thought okay, fine lets really upset the 10 people waiting behind me, and ring this up 10 times, cuz I really needed the stuff. He then informs me that if I do it that way, that I won't be able to use my raincheck for all of them, only the first one! I finally told them to give me all my coupons back!!! They were STUNNED when I left without buying anything......

Email or call CVS Corporate and inform them of the incompetence at this particular CVS store. Without intervention, they will just keep violating their own rules. They might not be doing this intentionally so getting corporate to straighten them out will help you in the future.

I was actually told something similar and given the run around for awhile (actually cashier ran back and forth).

First they checked to see if I could use coupons on raincheck, yes.
Then she noticed I wanted to use 10 coupons, no only 3 per transaction (?!?!).
Fine, sell me 3 and give me my 7 rainchecks back (it was 10 on one, I wanted them to rewrite me another for 7).
Talked to manager and now it's either the raincheck or the coupons.
..... uhm no.

I emailed CVS like 2 days prior about another store not accepting coupons on Bioluxe (their own brand etc) so I felt I didn't want to be a bother and email again... and it's not like that CVS was my favorite.

I have the policy from CVS on this subject; it reads.....

"Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. Free coupons or “offers at the register” are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction and more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis."

So....as long as you're only using one open ended coupon ($4/$20) per transaction, you can use 1 MQ and 1 CVS q per item. If you have 10 items, you can use 10 MQ's----simple as that. Don't understand why they can't abide by their own rules.

The Garnier must be a sale item and not an ECB item to not have any limits, right?

I agree send an e-mail, I did once for something and they were sooooo nice about it. The cs guy sent me an e-mail apologizing, told me he would talk to the store's manager about the problem and gave me a coupon for the trouble. I don't know if they are all that nice, but compared to Wags, I love cvs. :-) And if nothing else at least you know that you tried.

our CVS rocks! (sorta) They know my mom by name (due to her 50 million prescriptions) and they know the policies but THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED to me with a new cashier .... the manager at this particular store RAN when he saw my mom and what was happening and rang us up.. then took her aside and schooled her! I later found out she USED to work at WAGS...

i wrote an email AND CALLED to cvs regarding the employee telling i needed to decide which coupon i wanted to use ,,like really WTF? well they were very nice! (i guess they didn't want to lose the 50 million RX'S with no insurance) lol so they GAVE us (my moms card) a $10ecb.. i kinda pretended to be SUPER ANGRY ON THE PHONE but very nice...

so call even if you dont like or frequent that cvs you never know when you might need to go there again ... i o get DEATH stares from this girl now but she doesn't even LOOK at my coupons anymore just scans like a zombie
