CVS: How do B1G1's ring up?/

I have a x/xx and am wondering how do B1G1's ring up at CVS.

WIll both count towards the total,
or just one?

more specifically,
DS1 needs valentines for kindergarten.
So would 2.99 be counted towards my $20 (I have a 4/20)
or would $2.99 + $2.99 be counted towards my $20.00?

I had to look through some old receipts. I got Revlon implements B1G1 a few weeks ago. The first one rang up full price, the second one rang up as "FREE". Then "Saved 2.99" was written next to it. Underneath it said "Buy 1, Get 1 Free"

IIRC, though, it still let me use a $1/1 on each of them.

Around here when something is b1g1 free they both ring up full price until the cashier hits total so was able to use my coupons but I don't remember using x/xx before with them.Sorry that didn't help much .

My last receipt for the Cover girl rang up $6.99 & $6.99 then at the bottom took off the $6.99 for that and let me use my $3 cg q on each haha.
