It's YMMV, depends on the day, the cashier, the weather, etc. I'm glad you were able to just go to a different store (and assuming the second store accepted both coupons).
First, hello to everyone. I had my first problem today. I tried using 2 NB coupons and was told by the cashier (a young girl who studied the coupons) I couldn't use 2 on B1G1 free? Now I've already done this a few times, including once at that store. I tried to argue very nicely and short, but to no avail. She offered to get the manager, I declined.
I live in RI, there are as many CVS stores as Dunkin Donuts around here. I think the town is about 8 square miles I live in and there are 3 in town, 2 on the same road. So I just went to another one. Should I have spoke with the manager?
Does this happen often? Like problems like this with using coupons? I want to stay on people's good side, but also not jerked around either.

You should have allowed her to get the manager. You most certainly CAN use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale. And you CAN use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale to get both items FREE.

Just an update....I had sent an email to cust service, I stated I didn't want to get anyone in trouble etc. I just wanted to know the policy first hand and make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong either.
About a week later I finally got a response, very nice email. It gave the example on Revlon lipstick as BOGO. That must be a blanket email response, then an I'm sorry below the example. Then today I actually got a call from the manager at the CVS, explained it to her, not trying to get anyone in trouble etc. Very good cust service.
As far as getting an email forwarded, you can find a copy online I think Krazy Coupon lady has one, but I would suggest sending cust service an email, then you have your own copy first hand with a phone number on the bottom in case.
