cvs--I got a $4/$20 in my email today...
To "welcome" me to the program they sent me one of those $4 off coupons, but they sent it to the wrong email.
When my sister first got me into couponing and CVSing, I got an account at CVS.com and had them send me an ExtraCare card. However, it took a while to arrive in the mail, and I wanted to get a couple of deals before the ad ended, so I went down to the CVS and signed up for a card in person. (Of course, the card I ordered arrived the next day.)
I haven't used the card I got in the mail - I've only been using the card I got in person, and I registered it on the website with my secondary email - the one I use only for couponing and offers and such.
When I opened my "real" email (Gmail) I noticed I got the $4 coupon and I got kinda excited - until I realized that if it was going to that email, it was likely linked to the wrong card. But the printable coupon doesn't say "ExtraCare Card #****" like the CRTs and ECBs.
The really odd thing is that when I tried to log into the CVS website with my Gmail, I got an error message that the address isn't in the system. (I think that after I got a card, I changed my profile so my email address would be my "couponing" email - but they should be sending me things to that address, not my Gmail).
So I'm kinda confused. Part of me wants to try it and see if it works with the "real" card, but I don't want the cashier thinking I'm trying to rip them off or something if it doesn't work. Part of me wants to use it with the other card, but I don't want to try and keep track of two cards when I'm just starting to get the hang of one.
I guess the point of this post (if anyone even read all that) was to ask if anyone knows if the CVS $/$$ printables are only able to be used with one specific ExtraCare card.

Re: I got a $4/$20 in my email today...
I didn't get any of thee e-mails for a loooooooong time, CVS doesn't like my e-mail i guess. But if i remember correctly, it specifies that the person who received the e-mail is the one that spends the coupon meaning you can't forward it to someone unless it says so on the coupon. But as far as it being linked to one card, i don't think that's the case but i might be wrong

Call customer service, explain what's up, and they can probably link both of the cards together. The one you've been using is the one that should be your main one. They'll probably e-mail you a new $4/$20, but there's a $5/$20 elsewhere on the internet as well.

Where do you print off $/$ cvs coupons? Thought they just come in email?

Mine came in my email.
And it saved itself to my desktop, so I guess it could be printed (and used) again. It does say "limit one per customer" though.
I wonder if that's tracked through your card? Like if I print it again and try to use it, the register will beep. "You already used this coupon on 1/13/10, you can't use it again." I guess I won't know until I try. Although I think I'll try it at a CVS other than "my" store, in case it doesn't work.

If it has your name on it, it will beep and say that you have already used it.

It doesn't have a name on it, or an ExtraCare #. Weird.
