CVS ~ Question CVS: John Freida ECB printing?

I went today since our stores starts sales early and the John Frieda ECB didn't print. They even tried to enter the event code from the savings book and it came up not valid. My store refused to print the ECB without a working code. Just a heads up for anyone doing this deal.

I purchased the root awakening, the same one pictured in the savings book. The cashier tried to tell me it didn't work because the book says starting at 6.99. I told her that the price doesn't matter, it states to spend 10 dollars and get 5 ecb.

**ETA i did do one transaction, but had my cart loaded for both of my cards and my mom had hers in my cart too :sad:

had my cart loaded and had to put everything back!

Lost a $10 ECB on the deal too! im NOT happy!!

I paid a ridiculous amount of money for the coupons, didnt want to do it but its my favriote shampoo and of course, want and demand.. coupons will be high!

Can you tell that i am NOT happy?!!?!?!

How did you lose a $10 ECB?

ETA: Nevermind, I see what you're saying now, you just missed out on the $10 ECB you would have gotten.

When I got the savings book the store information flyer for the managers was inside it and it said they were to hold the books behind the counter until 11/15 maybe that is why the ecb is not printing because the "sale" has not been activated yet.

I'm not happy with this news, I have my coupons ready and I'm wanting this deal, but not worth it if I don't get the ECB's. My coupons don't expire until 12/31. I wonder if there will be another chance to get a good deal before then?

For those of us who got the book, it clearly states on the back of the book that the deals are valid 11/1-12/25..........I think they are going to have to honor it based upon that.
