QUESTION cvs---Anyone Try the Wireless Sports Plus at CVS?

My kids are begging for a Wii, but I am not so sure that they will play with it enough for us to sacrifice the money this year at Christmas.

Anyone try it and think it is worth the $40 for a 8 and 4 y/o to play with?

I dont know about the system you asked about but I dont think I would invest money into a game system that would likely become obsolete in a matter of months.

If you have the money for the Wii.. I would go for it. Its the single best selling system for 2 years now and it always has games and it will get your kids moving.. they also offer games for adults. I would be shocked crapless if your kids didnt play with it.. I really would.

Go for the Wii. Your kids will use it and so will you. It is easy/hard enough for both. You will more likely have trouble with them playing it too much. The Wii can also be used for viewing photos as well and it does have a bunch of different options with games to choose. We have the Wii fit and the kids love the balance games and I like the physical games that like the others said gets your kids moving.

It will not sit idle. I'm sure there are going to be super deals this year as well.

I would also recommend just getting the Wii. You know it is going to work well, plus there are soooo many games to choose from.

There is an AC adapter that comes separately, free when you buy the console.

OP, do any of the CVS in your area have the console on display? It might help for you to take your children in there and see how they respond to it. The quality is definitely not as good as the Wii but you aren't paying nearly as much. The Zone only comes with a set number of games though, you can't buy new ones. I would be worried that children would get bored of the same old games but then again the whole gaming system with 40 games or whatever it has costs about the same as a single game for Wii...

Good luck with your decision!

ETA: It is on sale this week (and probably for many weeks to follow) for only $29.99 so it really is a good deal for the price.

I purchased 2 of the zone 40 consoles last night. I got mine for 29.99 plus a free a/c adapter, I also used 2 of the $5/$30 coupons so after tax, came out to be 28.xx (had to get a candy bar to make the total 30). We are keeping on and giving on to BF little sister (10) for christmas. For $30 it's worth it. My BF and I played it for hours last night, tennis and ping pong....boy was that a workout. He plays football and works out regularly and was saying how much it worked out his arms and got him sweating. We didn't want to spend $200 + games on a Wii, since we already have a xbox and xbox 360. So if you're trying to be financially conscious this holiday, then I suggest getting the zone 40 as a decent alternative.

I got it for my little cousins (11) and played it myself. The tennis, ping pong and fencing were pretty fun. The graphics are not awesome, but good for the price.
