Default Re: CVS current week--11/01-11/07 with Ad Scans

my first GREAT deal at cvs was last night. i am thrilled. i have been only averaging around 50% off with my coupons so far and after going over my receipts for last month i was very disappointed. this month is shaping up lol!

i got 4 dayquil for $5 each. i used a $5/$20 printable cvs coupon (from a longs that was converted to a cvs? don't really know what longs is but they took it!) then i used $10 ecb from dove deal, then i used 4-$1/1 dayquil man qs and my total was $1.83 OOP and i got $10 ecb! i went to the other store in town and did it again with my dh's card. i used his flex card for both so i really had no oop and got $20 ecb. woo hoo! ;)

Well, congrats and welcome! You are doing a great job. It takes a little bit of time to learn CVS, but once you get a hang of it, it offers great rewards! Do not get frustrated if your totals seem to run a little higher that some posters show here. Eventually, you will come out of CVS spending less than $1 on a ton of stuff and that's when you can really appreciate how much this forum and spending some time on figuring the whole coupon thing out pays off.

As far as I know, your total for the merchandise being purchased has to be $30 or more BEFORE tax. As for not accepting exp. ECB, this is very YMMV. Have you ever asked them about it? Some CVS around here accept expires up to 1 week after the exp. date. However, you need to know that in advance, otherwise you might get a surprise like that one. And you need to periodically check the rules with cashiers to make sure they have not changed.

I haven't seen anyone mention the "Buy Glade Scented Oil Candles holder, get a refill pack FREE" insert Q, just blinkies (???). I think this was from last Sundays paper (can't check database due to using a Blackberry right now). Does my scenerio look correct (excuse my math if not in true form).....
4 Glade candle holders
4 Glade refills
Gillette Custom Plus disposable 4ct
$20 + $5.99 = $25.99 - $4/$20 - (4) $2 holder - (4) free refill wyb holder - $2 Gillette = $1.99 and receive $6 ECB and $2 ECB...... Also send of for $5 SC johnson MIR
