1. I don't know if it would work - ad definitely pictures and specifically says Bounty Basic. Perhaps your store substituted Bounty big rolls for the same price, but unless that was approved by CVS I don't know that they'd push the ECB for you. The ECB deals usually try to get you to buy items at prices lower than reg CVS prices, but higher than grocery store sale prices or megastore prices. The 6-roll Bounty big rolls for $6.00 is a good buy - they're 2-ply vs. 1-ply basic. Reg price is $10.49 vs $7.99 for Basic as on CVS website. If you can't call until Friday you risk a replacement product not being available in your store if customer service does not force it. I had to go to my 3rd and last available choice for HE Tides when I did it this afternoon.

2. This option is cheating the system and will make it harder for you and everyone else in the long run.

3. This would be the option I chose. I would out of fairness go back to the store you made the purchase to do the return. If you really want the paper towels, see if they have the right ones when you go back - they still had them in my CVS this afternoon. Look on the regular shelves vs. the display areas.

Sadly this store doesn't stock that many paper goods so similar to what you said they must have changed the price because they don't carry the Basic, I don't see anything in the store ad about the other types of Bounty, but my receipt does say $6. They don't even carry the Basic in the regular paper good aisle. It is a small CVS. Plus, I won't be near that store tomorrow. I agree its not a bad price it would be a lot better if I got the $10 ECB. :) Still trying to figure out what to do. I will take them with me and in case there is a CVS near me I can stop by and see if they have the Basic.

I called CVS today and the rep was super nice and had no problems crediting me the $10 ECB so I will get it in 48 hours on my next receipt! I love CVS!

This was a pretty good week at CVS. Here is what I got - (the store I went to started 10-4 sales at noon today so I picked up what I wanted for that week so I wouldn't have to go back.)


I got:

2 Schick Razors - $9.99
1 Head and Shoulders Shampoo - $4.29
1 pgk. Tone Bar Soap - $1.88
3 Revlon Nail Polishes - $11.97
12 Small Crystal Light packages - $6
2 Naturals Oatmeal - $2
1 Colgate Toothbrush - $2.99

Total before coupons: $93.10

Total paid oop: about $15 and approx. $5 of that is tax. I now have $14 ECB on my card and $10 on another.

I LOVE CVS!!!
