yes, you will. it will beep. save both receipts, and mention it before you try to spend the buck. if you have a nice store, go in and see if they will force a buck for you, and tear up your second copy of buck #1.
I went yesterday to do some photo books and had them rung up separately so I wouldn't get a huge ECB. But, the second one that printed out had the same number as the first one and didn't raise my total purchased by 1 on the receipt tally. I'm guessing this is because the computer didn't have time to catch up, but will I have problems using the second one as the computer will probably think it was already redeemed?

Your store might just push it through for you w/o you having to get another one printed. The register definitely will beep when you redeem the second one b/c it knows each card should only have 1 of a particular code. I agree w/ seedlady though, take your receipts in w/ you and just ask them what they will do if it beeps.

if you have the ecb they will force it. they take the ecbs from you once they are redeemed and they know this.
I went in yeaterday and got 5 books on the same card, I paid for them one at a time rolling them over. I had no trouble at all.
stores arent actually supposed to take ecb to pay for milk but some dont care and put them through anyway

yeah. milk is not an exclusion.
so it's agreed..... I can spend my $1 ecb on milk, and get another $1 ecb back.
99 cent gallon milk is nice.
It is called rolling and most of us here do it. As stated, CVS does NOT limit what you use the ECB to purchase as does WAG. Using a Milk ECB on milk again is a state rule and may/may not work per your local laws.
Unless the limit is one, you are fine to go ahead and keep rolling. If the limit is one you can use your ecbs to buy more but won't earn more ecbs.
Some states might exclude milk but most don't.
