I had a new experience with the rc for the photobook. I was told I had to pay when they wrote out the rc then they printed the ecb's right then, gave me a rc stated I purchased a photobook, and said to come back when they had the covers and make the book. That seemed odd to pay before actually getting the item but I used ecb's to pay and got back the ecb's for purchaseing it so I am not out anything but it still seems odd. Also since the ad says limit 1 here I only did a rc for one but the bottom of the reciept shows I can do more, I just dont know how they will do it if I try to get more. Has anyone else ever had a rc written this way for them?
I'm curious about this too. I have 2 rainchecks for 5 photobooks each. I called a different store and they said they have an entire box of the 6x8's to come on and do my books. So, if I max out the deal there, are my RC's no good? Like, if I went in November and did books, would my card remember that I maxxed the deal out? I have other items I finally found and still have the RC's laying around - don't know what to do with them!?
My store says if the raincheck is written for X items, and they have that amount in stock, then I can choose to A) Redeem for all X items, or B) redeem for less than X, but they will keep the RC.
If they do not have the quantity for which the RC is written, I can redeem the RC for the qty the store has, and they re-write a RC for the balance.
HTH!
Hi! I'm Coupon*Clipper.
I didn't want to do anything shady, I simply wanted to be able to make an extra Photobook at the advertised price - I had always planned on making six and spending the last $7.99 ECB on the last book*. :) I will let them know to skip the buck part of the transaction then, that's fine with me, it still will be free!
*The full story: I made one at store #1, then got the raincheck (for just one). Then a few days later went to store #2 and made 5, as I had planned from the beginning. But then store #2 stapled one book incorrectly and asked me to make a new one, and then the computer crashed as I was recreating my book, and I was there with my husband and baby - and both were getting antsy - so I figured I'd just either come back later for the last book or use the raincheck to make it at another time. I may just go to another store tomorrow to make the final book and throw away the rainchecks instead. ;)
Ok - I have just about had it with this one cashier/assistant manager, whoever he is. I can't even read his name (which he wrote down fior me but then took it back). He constantly gives me problems with writing rainchecks. I usually only get them on ECB deals. This store is horrible when it comes to stock... there was nothing there ever. I know they are crying over the fact that they have to issue ECB rainchecks but whatever. So I have called CSR 2 times and they have told me that I can get a raincheck for whatever the limit is in the ad. Often it's either 1, 2, 3 or 5... no more than 5 per household. So I tried to get a raincheck on the Tylenol... he refused to give me a raincheck on 3 (which is CLEAR as day printed in the ad) - said all sorts of random reasons why. One being - "some items don't have limits listed and some people want 100 and we have the right to limit"... ummm... yeah, I'm not agruing with that. Seriously - we're talking about an item that has a limit and it's 3 not 100.
Am I being unreasonable to ask for three?... I know I'm holding up the line, but seriously - he's holding up the line. He got scared when I asked him whether or not the store manager told him that he should limit like that (not follow the ad). He said no no... he did not... but I can speak to him next time. I sure will. As I was walking out... he shouted... the store manager didn't say that. I said... I'll just tell them what you said. Sounds to me - he's just making this stuff up. He kept saying the tylenol isn't a regular item. Last time, he didn't even want to give me a raincheck on the Gillette Razors saying that wasn't a regular item.
Oh - the joys of saving money. I don't even have the $2 cpns, just a few $1, as my MIL needs this for her arthritis.
Should I post this in HUTC? I was pretty calm the whole time but we were clearly disagreeing. I just couldn't understand his reasoning. Maybe they have a loss prevention issue but at least discern who the customers are.
Does anyone else have this problem? thanks!
