CVS $15 Candy -Get 5 ECB's-1 Promotion 7/26/09-8/15/09

Just heard back from Extra Care Bucks division of CVS. They had to research the promotion...they didn't have the advance copy of the ad . They state that the numbers in the flyer are for store information only and that this is one continuous promotion. So if you max out this week on Mentos (or other candy), the candy bars we're waiting until 8/9 for, won't earn you more ECB's on the same card. HTH

thanks for the heads up - i figured that would be the case once i started to see the deal posted for 8/9 so i held off on buying so many mentos - on one card i did the deal twice but nothing on the other cards i use...

Isn't the limit (5) per card? I know some get a TON of coupons, but I don't think most people would get enough coupons to exceed the limit. I know I certainly won't.

OP, I'm sure someone at corporate gave you this answer but corporate doesn't know it's head from it's tail half the time. You can call and email them three times and get two different answers while talking with four different people.

Has anyone read the tag hanging on the shelves to check the dates given there?

Since the event codes are different in each ad:

In the 07-26 ad, the event code is 13114

In the 08-09 ad, the event code is 133209.

Different event codes mean that they are different deals. Otherwise we'd all be buying Tylenol.

I will stand and argue with the cashier until they give in and print my bucks for me. Don't come between me and my chocolate.

Fortunately, my store is so great I won't have to say a thing.

and if thats true wouldn't it be at the bottom of my receipt? I did the candy deal but it doesn't show at the bottom with the limits

If you did the deal last week and then today it no longer shows on your receipt, then yes that would be a clear confirmation that they are indeed separate deals.

I did 1 deal last week w/Mentos. It did not drop from my receipt, still shows -

Candy, Spend 15 Get $5
Amount toward this reward --- $15.67
Amount needed to earn reward -- $14.33

If it was a weekly deal, the offer would have dropped off like everything else I bought last week.

I didn't do the deal last week not enough stock, but I did buy 2 mentos gums that did count for it, and it still shows up on my receipt. Cool - I guess I have $2 towards the deal next week already. Works for me.
