As the photo lab supervisor for my store I ordered extra photobooks and picture DVD's weeks in advance anticipating high sales due to the limit of 5, I never got any of what i ordered. We sold thru the 30 photobooks I had in stock in a day come to find out that the warehouse had problems getting them in so there werent enough of either to go around. And yes we did recieve an email from corporate telling us to remove the store signage and follow the ad limit of 1 due to supply issues. So far Ive been lucky and no one has wanted a picture dvd since I only had 5 in stock.

    Limit was definitely one.

I went to my closest store and did one, out printed the ecb. Then I was brave and did another...nothing printed. As a courtesy, the lady force printed one out.

Then I went to another store 2 miles away.

I did one on Dad's card. ECB printed. Saw the great sign advertising limit 5....was brave and did another. Did not print. I pointed out the sign. The photo manager came over, looked at the sign and said no problem go for it, and I will force print the ecb. I asked her if I can do 5 on dad's card and 3 more on my card since I did 2 already in another store (I am too honest!), and she said go for it.

So I got 10 photo dvds for free. $160 worth of gifts for Christmas all for mere tax!!!!!

There was a sign up that the store was #1 in the district for photo sales. She told me the district had a contest with the photo books sales and the dvd sales, and they won the photo book sales, and got a prize. She looked at my order and said...well I guess we won the dvd contest now too.
Glad to help you out! LOL.

So between the photo books and dvds..I am set for Christmas. I am so appreciative. Gifts are such a budget breaker, and definitely this year I need a little help in that department. I was considering the "talk" with my family about skipping gifts this year (like I had to do the recession of 2001), but now I can skip that uncomfortable talk!! Thanks CVS!!!! These make terrific gifts.

However, IMHO...these dvds are kinda crappy. They are expensive....$15??????
They scan too much....I noticed in some parts they scan too quickly right past the person I am highlighting in the video so that you can't even see them!!! The songs are really kinda dumb. If you could bring your own song....control the scanning....and do them at home and pick them up at the store....then that would be cool....but still not worth $15.
But considering my career, you would understand why I say all this, so I will keep my opinion to myself. LOL>

Anyone with a digital camera probably has a computer. If you have a computer, you can probably figure out how to make a simple slideshow of pictures!! Why would anyone pay $15 for something you can make pretty simply for the price of a dvd (you can get humongous bundles of those at staples so cheap!!).
    This is just my opinion.

Most importantly..boy they take FOREVER to make. I was in the store about 3 hours making 10. Sheesh.

But I am grateful for CVS for providing all my Christmas gifts this year. It took forever, and I know I can make better ones myself....but I have learned to not be such a perfectionist, and be grateful for what I got. Thanks CVS for the $280 worth of gifts for 2009 Great Recession Christmas. You rock!!!!!!!
