Thank you 100 times over for this. Very insightful and I did find a video that helped me ease my anxiety! Now my mission is to get my pictures organized and ready to go!

One question - are these single sided pages or double? TIA

Single side (pic will be on the right).

Make sure you have a picture picked out for the cover page that is horizontal. The front hardcover has a small square cut out to see the picture on the first page. I recommend a picture that will show neatly through the window. The computer will automatically center it horizontally and vertically on the first page to show throught the window.

Pic #1: 3 pics on one page with a color background.
Pic #2: 2 pics on one page with pic on pic feature.
Pic #3: 5 pics on one page with pic on pic feature.

If you click on the pictures of the photobook below it enlarges it for better viewing.

Notice the pics get smaller the more pics you add to a page so I wouldn't add more than 5 per page. They get really tiny.

Last thing: You can make the first book and then at the end request a total of 5 books. This is if you just want 5 of the same. It can get time consuming to do 5 different photobooks. KWIM. I'll probably make 5 the same and make them gifts.

I've done these on the computer before and ordered them from home - can we do that for this deal? or do you have to order from the store?

Hmm I want to say there were issues with doing that before but can't confirm now. Try calling your local store and see what they say or you may have to call the websites 800 number to be sure.

I'm assuming that "10 pages" means 5 actual pages printed on both sides? Does that include the cover pic? Thanks :)

Nope...10 pages total (including cover page) and pictures are only on one side (the right hand side) If you click on one of my pictures of the photobook in one of my posts it will enlarge it. You'll be able to see the left side of the page it just says Kodak..just like a picture.

So:

*Hard cover- Black (with cut out to see pic through)
*clear page (like a protector)
*Cover page (the one that shows through hardcover)
*9 pages of pictures
*another clear page (protector page)
*Back Hard Cover (Black)

Here is a thought....if you don't have a need for a photo book....you can still do this deal and get 10 "pieces of ART" to be framed!!! The bonus here is that you already have a built in "mat" around your photos!!!

Yes - great idea - did you see that Oprah where they did that - organized kid's art into photobooks? What a great idea! This is a small book though - do you think it will still work? Have they ever done larger books with this deal - like an 8 x 10 book?

I would call the store the week of the sale and ask if you could pay the difference from a 6x8 to an 8x10...but let them know you still want to recieve your ecb. Can it be done? Never know til you ask. :shrug7:

The small book will still work with the art idea. You can make it where the whole page is one piece of artwork. You can scan at home and put on a flash drive or cd...or...you can scan at the store. Whatever makes you more comfortable.

The coupons could be either Kodak, manfacturer or CVS. None have been found yet.

I recommend you make the book when you are not in a hurry and towards the beginning of the promotion so if you get tired of doing it or run out of time that day ....you can still go back another day before promotion ends.

After you do the first one it gets alot easier and faster on the rest.

Last time they did this deal it could only be done in the store at the kiosk. It really doesn't take that long if you're somewhat familiar with the process. It walks you through it, but as a pp mentioned you may want to play around with the kiosk now when you have some extra time just so you can breeze through it later. I believe the total pics you can have per book is 50. In one of my books I have 50 pics and I think I had maxed it. Most of my pages I had put 6 pics which would be 1 larger and 5 smaller pics around it. The pics are small, but I don't have a problem with them. Obviously the fewer pics on a page, the larger each pic will be.

I had made up my limit and gave them out as x-mas gifts last year - along with the picture DVD's. At the time they were also doing 4x6 photobooks and I made one up for my 2 year old to drag around the house because I figured if he destroyed it it wasn't a big deal since it was free. A year later and he's still dragging that thing around the house - it's his "papa" book, since it has lots of pictures of his papa inside. I may make him up another special book to drag around the house because he will actually sit still for a few minutes looking through his little book! This new one could be his big boy book.

I like the artwork idea. I might have to get my little guy to start drawing me some pictures! Most of his "artwork" is done on the magna doodle so it might be time to drag out the plain paper and crayons/markers. How great would that be to put on my desk at work?!

Just be careful when creating your book that the pics end up in the correct order. I had put my pics on my disks in a specific order (by age/date) and somehow a halloween pic ended up in with the August b-day pics and the rest of Halloween pics after Christmas. I didn't catch the one Halloween pic before I printed my books so I have this one lonely Halloween pic that doesn't belong. And if you're making multiple books (I made one of my son 0-6 months and one 6-12 months) I would suggest putting them on seperate disks so you know exactly which pics are going in each book - makes it quicker and easier.

Also, be prepared to have to wait or come back later for your book. Once you've assembled your book on screen and click finish your pics will print either at the kiosk or at the photo department. Hopefully there will be someone there that knows how to put the books together. The first book I made early in the morning and after I was done I was told there was no one there that knew how to put the book together so I had to come back for it later. Not that big of a deal since CVS is just down the street from my house but it may be an issue for some.
