Default Re: CVS 7/5 - 7/11 with Ad scan

lots of free febreze if you get 4 papers on 7/5: (you'll need 4 of the $4.00 febreze noticeables coupons for my plan:)

$5 ECB WYB $10 Febreze Products LIMIT 5
Febreze Candle $6.50
Febreze Noticeables $6.50
Febreze Air Effects $3
Febreze Fabric Refreshener $5

7/5 P&G coupons:
Free Febreze Air Effects when you buy any Febreze Fabric Refresher (7/31/09)
Febreze Noticeables Starter Kit Save $4.00 (7/31/09)

scenario:
4 febreze noticeables 6.50 = 26.00
3 febreze air effects 3.00 = 9.00
3 febreze fabric refresher 5.00 = 15.00
= 50.00 (for limit of 5 deals)

use 4 x 4.00 noticeables = 16.00
use 3 x free air effects 3.00 = 9.00

= 25.00 (pay w/ ECBs of course LOL)

get back 25.00 ECBs = FREE

You can also break this up and just buy a few items at a time if you don't want 1 big $25.00 ECB. Example:

transaction #1:
1 febreze noticeables 6.50
1 febreze air effects 3.00
1 febreze fabric refresher 5.00
= 14.50
use 4.00 noticeables Q
use 3.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher) Q
= 7.50
get back 5.00 ecbs
(still have 4.50 toward next deal)

transaction #2: (remember you still have 4.50 toward this deal)
1 febreze noticeables 6.50
use 4.00 noticeabes Q
= 2.50
get back 5.00 ecbs (you had 4.50 toward the deal and spend another 6.50. now you'll still have 1.00 toward the next deal)

transaction #3: (remember you still have 1.00 toward next deal)
1 febreze noticeables 6.50
1 air effects 3.00
1 fabric refresher 5.00
= 14.50
use 4.00 noticeables Q
use 3.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher) Q
= 7.50
get back 5.00 ecbs (now you will still have 5.50 toward next deal)

transaction #4: (remember you have 5.50 already)
febreze noticeables 6.50
use 4.00 noticeables Q
= 2.50
get back 5.00 ecbs (you will now have 2.00 for the last deal)

transaction #5: (remember you already have 2.00 left for this last deal)
1 air effects 3.00
1 fabric refresher 5.00
use 3.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher) Q
= 5.00
get back 5.00 ecbs

Total OOP: $25.00 (pay w/ as many ECBs as possible to lower your 'real money' OOP) and you get back $25.00 ECBs, so FREE. :)

P.S. I like reps if this helped at all. :)

You can also make the Febreze deal into a $5 MM even if you don't have any $/$$ Q's:

8 febreze noticeables 6.50x8 = 52.00
use 8 4.00 coupons = 32.00
pay $20
get back $25 ECBs

Yes you can use the .50/1 fabric refresher.

A note of caution though: If you do these back to back the system may not catch up to issue you the following ecb's. So space the transactions out. How far away they need to be spaced out I don't really know. My guess would be min. 3-4 hours or you'll have to call CS to credit you the ecb's. mrsfloyd later edited her post to mention this.

I looked at that coupon too but it is for a 16 ct and the ones in the ad are 4 ct and the RIB coupon is limit one coupon per customer.

Alternatively, let the cashier know that you are doing multiple transactions for a cumulative deal. A good cashier will either understand what you are doing or will "get it" when you explain it to them. Then if the ECB doesn't print in the end, you have had the foresight to let them know that they may need to force print for you. (another reason to always keep a calculator with you!)

You must shop at my CVS.

I had to call the 800 number about the soyjoy deal it was kinda funny she called the manager of the store and said "he wants you to come back in and let him make it right.

Aaaah there lies the problem...they are few and far between... good cashiers. Some already believe we're ripping them off because they don't understand what we are doing. They already can't put 2 and 2 together to understand it's simple math. I can only imagine what explaining this will do to one of those.

Girl I let that behaviour slide a couple times and I'm extremely courteous and extra nice to those types at first to let them know I don't want to be any trouble to them but if it continues than I push back letting them know I know what I'm doing with my body posture and tone. They usually back off but if they don't I ask for a manager and ask for the manager to ring me up and tell the manager why I refuse to be rung up by his/her rude cashier.

I really am a very nice person but I am no longer willing to be treated like trash because I use coupons. I put too much work into my research, collecting, clipping, buying and trading coupons to then have to dread facing a cashier to make my legitimate purchase. They need to be worrying about those people who come in and eat their food and drink their drinks and leave empty cans and wrappers all around the store...as I have seen so many times.

Sorry for the rant but I hate to hear of cashiers rolling their eyes.

If you got the freebie gillette shampoo coupons from the previous rebate, this would probably be a good week to use them. I think I'll do this:

2 x noticeable: $13
fabric spray: $5
air effects: $3
gillette shampoo: $4.99
-2 x $4 noticeable
-free AE WYB spray
-free gillette
=$10, get $12 EB plus free batteries

I can toss in some dawn or FAEB school supplies if, by some miracle, I get a $/$$. I sooo don't need to max out the febreeze deal. All my glade stuff from last year will probably last me the rest of my life...even in a workplace full of guys

I don't think you will get the free batteries with this deal. The ad shows the free batteries if you buy $25 P&G on THIS page. The Febreeze products are not on that page.

As it has been mentioned before by Cheapkate, the deal on Olay is sweeter than it was before due to P&G 7/5/09.

Olay Bodywash, GDA, $3/2, limit 1 (Cheapkate & ekoury)
Total: $3/2
Sale: $12/2
MQ: $2 - P&G 7/5/09
ECB Earned: 5
Math: $12 - $4 mq - 5 ECB = $3/2

I just decided to put it in the format for easier reading.
