tax is figured on a state by state basis, and we are pretty much doomed to just pay it.

Oh...a previous poster had indicated tax was the reason for the particular coupon order. I wondered about that.

cvs changed how they collect tax in 2008 or so, and now it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I think it still varies by state though, I pay taxes on what I actually am paying in cold hard cash...so no matter what order I use my coupons in, I only pay taxes on the final balance.

tax is confusing, I got 8 sobes here in nc and paid 13 cents. However my friend in tampa florida got 8 sobes at her cvs and paid around 50 cents for all 8. So hmm my brain cant configure out it but im sure i didnt pay on the price of 8 sobes. tax is 0.08.
