The only ones they can't write RC for are the items they only get for the sale and not afterwards. But you won't get the ECB when you use the RC...I guess you know that, right?

Going back tomorrow for the rest of my Soy Joy bars (I got 12 so far) and doing the Almay deal since I have the crt. Our store is finally getting on the ball and keeping sale items in stock, amazing!!

The clerk even noticed I got my hair cut, now that's something, lol.

No ma'am. If you get a RC for an item on sale with ECB, you SHOULD receive the ECB when you buy the product.

I've got a raincheck here in front of me as I type.

It has spaces for:

Item
Quantity (indicating you can get more than 1)
Regular Price
Sale Price (indicating you can get a RC for a sale item)
Extra Bucks amount (clearly showing you can get a RC on ECB items)
Event Code (again, indicating a sale item)

Just a little FYI- I cut the portion of the ad out for the item that a RC is for and paper clip them together. That eliminates any uncertainties if something on the RC isn't clear.

I have the same info on my rainchecks.I think the old RCs didn't have a space for ECB, but the clerk at my store cut out the ad and taped it on the RC to make sure everything was put in correctly later.

you'd think it would be easy to get rainchecks in a store!
I went to look for the thermacare and almay, none. I asked the cashier for a raincheck, she can't write them so she calls the manager. manager tells me that at 'managers discretion' they don't give rainchecks for ecbs sale items. bs, I said that it's a sale item and they have to give me a raincheck for oos items. she said no. she said it's friday and of course it out of stock, like i should have gone earlier in the week. I told her to call corporate. she said no. so i called and the cs lady told me that they do have to give RCs and to tell that to the manager. I told her and again, she gave me the managers discretion line and said fine she'll write me the rainchecks, making it sound like I was annoying her. geez. then she wrote them on the old rc forms not the new ones. I told her to write the ecbs and the event code. then she was limiting to one item, i told her that i wanted the limits in the ad. she scribbled over what she wrote... but I got them. only took me 20 minutes in the store. why oh why is it so hard?

If it were a one time thing, I might not call. BUT since this is something that may keep happening, I would call. I'm sure the manager just doesn't know how it should work. Corporate will nicely explain to them their RainCheck/ECB policy. Then you and others shouldn't have that problem anymore.

You should most definitely get the ecb when you use the raincheck! With the new raincheck system, the cashiers enter the code to force the ecb when you redeem the raincheck. I really like the new raincheck system! I try to make sure I staple the picture from the ad to the raincheck, so they know for sure what the deal was supposed to be.

Used a raincheck just today and got the ECBs. They do have to "force" them but she had no problem doing it.
