You must live in my neighborhood! I went to CVS at 3 pm on Sunday. None of the tags were up and there were still ads from last week attached at the end of each aisle. I bought 20 Soyjoys and 2 Thermacare and none of my ECBs printed for either deal... My cashier called the manager and he scrutinized the current ad (which they did have behind the counter) for 5 minutes before forcing my ECBs. It was weird, like it was still Saturday inside CVS. <insert Twilight Zone theme here>

In case anyone else didn't know, the 20-count Bayer Quick Release Crystals are 4.99 this week. Using $2/10-ct+ MFQ and the $2/10-count+ CRT, that makes a box of 20 just $.99. Or, if you don't have the $2 MFQ, there is a $1.50/10-count + printable at coupons . com which would make the 20-count $1.49.
Not a bad deal if you like them or need a filler for a $/$$...I had my husband try one a couple weeks ago...I watched him as he literally forced them down...he said they were even more disgusting than those "Tylenol to Go" dissolving tablets!

I like them better than Goody powders, but I can't take a whole packet at one time either.
Cutting coupons, slashing prices and hauling my booty away!
Received a $5/30 last week at the scanner. First $/$ since Christmas except for when I filled out the e-mail at the store. Went in with one plan and when I scanned first, received a $4 off any Zyrtec (except trial size).
Bought:
16 Soyjoys (3 ea BOGO + 1 ea $2 off 10-insert)
2 St Ives Apricot Scrub (2 ea $1.50 off 1- insert priced $1.49 ea-so free)
2 ea Thermacare neck 1 ct ( 2 EA $1 off any insert)
1 ea Zyrtec 5ct @ $6.29 ($4 off from scanner and $3 off from prev. package)
total $16 + $2.98+ $4.98 + $6.29=$30.25 minus $5/30-$5 soyjoy-$2.48 St Ives-$2 Thermacare-$7 Zyrtec (told cashier it would need adj down, but he ran the coupon and then the catalina and it went through-he congratulated me!) -$5 ECB + $.02 tax=$3.29oop
received $16 ECB Soyjoy + $4.98 Thermacare so 20.98-$5 ECB-$3.29=
$12.69 moneymaker!
Even better, I pay at CVS with a giftcard from Mypoints.
I went back today to see if I would get another Zyrtec at the scanner, but received $1 off any Gold Emblem water and $2 off $10 CVS brand items. They both had a 06/30/09 expiration. Any ideas on CVS brand deals? Will the Gold Emblem items count as CVS brand?
I figure I'll use the $16 ECB on photobooks.
Yes it does. There are going to be some FREE's after ecb's CVS brand stuff like tape and other stuff but not sure if your crt will expire before then. I can't remember what week those are going to be but there was talk of getting the frees with the water to use the 2/10 so it may be within the same timeline. Check the threads for the next 2 weeks of deals.
On your 16 ecb you may want to use it on the Febreze deal week of July 5th and then the photobooks the following week.![]()
REPS ALWAYS APPRECIATED!
I just got back from CVS and had this same problem too. I wanted to use my smaller ECBs and did 3 transactions of 6 bars, 4 bars, & 6 bars
1st printed 4 ecbs fine- receipt said quantity toward: 6 / quantity needed: 4 (so I knew something wasn't right). 2nd printed 4 ECBs, and the 3rd should have printed 8 ECBs and did not. Manager had to force the ECBs. I think it is some glitch where it will only produce the ECBs when purchased in quantities or 4, 8, 12 etc?. I plan on avoiding that on my husband's card when I go to do his soyjoy deal by doing it in multiples of 4.

(I am taking a break from trading for a bit)
It will only produce ecb when your cumulative total of bars purchased equals 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20. Although that's not really a glitch, since that's what it says in the ad (get 4 ecb wyb 4). How much time did you have in between your transactions? It's possible that the system hadn't updated yet and that's why you didn't get your ecb. That happens sometimes if you do multiple transactions without much time in between.
