At my CVS, typically it's around $6.29 a carton. At a minimum, you're looking at $6.00. So, you can figure 2/$6.00 for sure.

I discovered a good deal today - the Nivea lip care is BOGO, and the lip gloss is 2.99 (really expensive, IMO). BUT in the front cosmetics area where they have things on display, there was a display with some Nivea lotion/bodywash and some black & white cosmetics bags with TWO Nivea lip gloss inside. It ALSO rings up at 2.99, BOGO!! I bought two, used two $1 coupons, so they ended up 50 cents each!! These will be nice little gifts. I'll see if I can post a picture.

I had an awesome trip today!! I didn't earn any ecbs nor did I spend any, though it would have been nice (considering I have none)

6 bottles of excedrin on sale for 1.99= 11.94
4 schick Intuition razors on bogo sale 9.99/2=19.98
    subtotal 31.92
    coupons used
    $5/$30
    $2.50/$10 pain relief purchase crt
    5--$1/1 excedrin insert q
    1--$2/1 excedrin IP
    4--$4/1 schick intuition
total oop (including 1.65 in tax) 3.07!!!!

this felt awesome because I only used coupons and didn't even use ecbs. sucks I didn't get any ecbs, but $3 for all that is still a jackpot!

    Am I wrong?
I agree with you assumption, and would add:

Think of it in this manner:
Each ITEM IS a purchase. When you group several items together to pay for at once, it is a (sales) transaction.
You could choose to pay for each separately and have several transactions ... or pay for 2 or more purchases/items together in one transaction! -- Even the receipts (at most stores) list the "Transaction #" ... it is a receipt for the itemS purchased!

I don't mean to sound arrogant, but realizing there are newbies, thought I would include the info below, as well.
My question in doing this on BOGOs is: do the items ring up as (say) $9.99, $9.99 (regular price for each), then at bottom of receipt give the $9.99 discount for the BOGO item? -- If so, I have no problem arguing my point with cashier/manager.
If it rings up as $9.99, $0.00 where BOGO is given at top of receipt ... then, I have less to "argue" with.

But ... in the second event, you could get 4 items, ringing up as $9.99, $0.00, $9.99, $0.00 and use 2 Qs because you ARE being charged for 2 items. -- if you had a BOGO Q and used one, this would mean you get 4/$9.99. (if the Q didn't forbid it, you could also use a single Q for the one you are having to pay for.) This might be the intent of the coupon you have, even though the wording isn't clear.

Read the sticky. It's one per person per purchase so it doesn't matter how confusing it's worded. It's one per transaction. Schick really needs to find a better way to get their point across!

Based on everything I've learned at HCW, "1 coupon (any kind) per purchase" would mean "1 coupon per ITEM." I believe your interpretation is correct.

I wonder if the cashier scanned the UPC from the lip gloss instead of the bag ??? I will have to look for this bag. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks to everyone for all the help !!!:hectic1:
