if you still have your target ad or your kmart ad from 10/11, look for a coupon inside.

Or, are you saying when you hand all the coupons for that days purchase you hand the coupons over in the order you listed?
let's see. suppose you go to buy 3 tubes of colgate, and one candy bar.

you could use a cvs colgate coupon, if you had one, and 3 manufacturers colgate coupons, if you had them , and one of each kind for the candy bar.

then, you could pay for the order with an extracare buck.

i would ask at the pharmacy. they have accepted mine before.

Seedlady, I just wanted to say a big Thank You for all your tips you've given! I've only been couponing for 3-4 months and have just not been able to get into a good groove. But after reading thru your thread, something finally clicked!! :) I used your OFF/ON list method at the store tonight (Walgreens, Not CVS - sorry!) and it helped me SOOOO much!! I actually walked out of there spending less than $2.00 oop and saved $42.00!!! YEA!! Now I am excited to get going with CVS this week too! THANK YOU! Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much for your help. I got my CVS card earlier this week. I do not have any EBC to start with. So I should only start with $20 oop. if I am understanding correctly. I hope I have coupons for the deals tomorrow.

Do they honor ebc with the rain checks?

Thank you

the coupon says it can NOT be used on any prescription paid for in whole or in part by the government. that is probably the phrase they saw.

if it makes sense, you can pay for the prescription yourself to get the gift card- sometimes that is profitable. just run the numbers both ways and decide.

newbies- look deep into my eyes- i want you to save the coupon for a diabetes monitor that came in the october 25th red plum.

even if you don't have diabetes.

and remember where you put it- because in a week or two, it will be on sale for free at cvs with that coupon, and i think then you get 5 dollars back in ecbs.

so, the coupon is valuable, whether you choose to use it to make a profit, and donate the monitor, or trade it for coupons for pepsi or palmolive.

got it? good. go resume your regular life!

edited to add- i just read that the coupon this week says for diabetes patients only. as far as i can remember, it has never said that before.

SO-
i'm changing my mind. hold onto it, but give the coupon to the patient, not the meter.

i took the liberty of calling bayer, and the nice man said it was fine to buy a monitor even though i don't have diabetes. he said it would be a thoughtful gift for the man or woman i donated it to, and that bayer just wants the "end user" to be diabetic or pre-diabetic or testing for blood sugar.

he also said the store will not and should not be asking the buyer if the buyer has diabetes, but if they do, just say that you are purchasing it for someone else.

so, it's fine to buy meters- just get them adopted out to an "end user".

( my policy has always been- if a company is dumb enough to put up an 800 number, i'm dumb enough to dial it.)
