Default Re: Careful with 2 day sale- several issues

Most CVS's did not have a large supply of the Arm and Hammer to begin with since, its fairly new and not much of a seller. Stores typically got a few extra but not a lot, and most didnt have many to begin with. The company doesn't usually send lots of items like this for a 2 day sale....and its not like it has the same profit margin for them like items such as Prilosec.

Did you just buy those? I was wondering if the coupon won't beep if your total was more than $3.

WITH CARD
thru Dec 27

Band-Aid Brand children’s decorative 20-30 ct., plastic, sheer bandages 40-60 ct. or Red Cross J&J Mini First Aid To Go kit.
Just wantd to let you guys know I am dumb Why did I think Baidaid was a brand name?

I printed off two coupons, went to CVS and did the following....

6 boxes of $.99 bandaids (3 boxes of kids one and 3 reg ones)
2 J/J first aid kits $.99 each (they only had 2 left)
2 bottles of gatorade $2.19 each (DH isn't feeling well and requested some)

I used 2 - $3/3 johnson and johnson coupon, 1 of the smart sourse $3/2 coupons and my total was only $3.30 :)

Thanks for the heads up, I needed more bandaids

Default Re: FREE Band Aids!

I was able to get 4 kids kinds (hello kitty and Dora). I price scanned several different kinds of regular bandaid (since hello kitty is the only kind with 99 cents sales tag), but none of the regular bandaid I scanned rang up as 99 cents...

I was able to use $3/2 Johnson & Johnson IP from www.Smartsource.com and $1 CVS Q from Diatbetes booklet, so all 4 of them were free (technically 4 cents overage, I think). $1 CVS Q or $3/2 did not beep. If I only had 3 of them, then $3/2 would have beeped and prompted the cashier to adjust it down to $2.97 as PP mentioned.

Hi, I'm a brand new poster here. I snuck in and read some of these threads before setting out on Sunday. I live in a big city with at least 10 CVS locations in my immediate vicinity. I did pretty well, and just wanted to thank you all. I have had this CVS card for years, and never really used it!

I had some problems, first there were a few items out of stock. Like the listerine, i tried to see if i could use any flavor if that size but they said no, only the one posted in te picture, they even rang one up to see if it was on sale and it wasn't. So i got no listerine. And the manager said they didn't get any arm and harmer in for the sale. It's not something they carry normally either so a raincheck was useless. This was disappointing, Thanksgiving sale went much better!

Did you just buy those? I was wondering if the coupon won't beep if your total was more than $3.
I can't be sure, but I don't think it would have beeped if I had bought a 4th Johnson's item, like another box of Band-Aids (so you would get 4 for $.96 essentially). But they would still have to adjust it if you were buying 3 boxes of Band-Aids and some other unrelated items.

Here's the reason I think that: I bought 3 boxes (Dora, Spongebob & Hello Kitty) for a total of $2.97 AND 3 of the J&J First-Aid kits totaling $2.97. The First-Aid IP was scanned first and didn't beep at all, took off full $3 (I guess because I had the other J&J items to take up the slack of the $.03 overage). Then the second J&J $3/3 Q being used for the Band-Aids beeped and the cashier was prompted to adjust the coupon to $2.94, bringing my pre-tax total to $0.

I hope that makes sense, I think I confused myself typing it.

well here is my thinking on this, I prefer to have a lot of lower value ecbs than a few high value ones, because, for me, they are easier to use and pay less oop. plus i didn't think of my coupon until after i had already purchased one, so i was trying to figure out a way to use it and make a little in the process
