I also was thinking for some reason that the monthly deal on complete solution was 5 and snatched up a third. ugh.

oh, AND I bought all 3 arm and hammer on one receipt so I cant turn in 2 rebates like I planned, AND didnt get a duplicate of the olay regenerist I bought to go toward the $15 gift card wyb 2 and the coupon booklet offer.... soooo many mistakes!!!
I thought I was the only one doing these things--I call it a senior moment. If it's not me-it's a cashier telling me off, because she can't take a $6 ecb on a $5.99 purchase. That I'm trying to get her fired and going into a long lecture in front other shoppers and making me almost sick. I almost dread going into CVS anymore. I try to be friendly, but they're taking all the fun out of it. Even once friendly cashiers, give me that look,"here she comes again".

I had one $3/2 that a wonderful cashier at CVS gave to me(I thanked him)
and I had a $3 off Sally Hansen $10 purchase that I used for my sisters card, woo hoo. Now my niece has 4 bottles of nail polish to add to her collection

I sooo wanted to get some of these, but don't have those qs.(didnt start collecting qs til the end of august) too bad it is so close to christmas and a trade wouldn't even make it in time to get em. I thought the diabetes book qs or the other insert qs for red cross/first aid products would work but checked it out today and the bandaid boxes dont match to either product. :( :( very sad

Default Re: TIP on making Sally Hansen Nail polish at MM!

I went this morning to pick up some of the freebies. I picked up two of the Sally Hansen nail polishes at $5.99 and used the $3/2 coupon. For some reason the coupon beeped and asked her for the coupon value or something like that. She asked how much the nail polish was and I told her they were $5.99 each. I thought maybe she was thinking that the two nail polish's together were cheaper than the $3 that the coupon would give. But, I guess she looked at the coupon wrong and thought it was a BOGO coupon because she took $5.99 off! Because of that my final total was off and she said I couldn't use my last $2 coupon because I didn't owe that much. So, I grabbed two M&M's for my son - they were 2/$3 and I didn't know it but I got a $1 ECB back for that! I ended up paying $.28 for everything and ended up making over $10 profit and that was with the $5 in Coke I bought because we needed some. Now I only need to spend $10 more on the Coke deal to get my $5 ECB for that. It was a good trip, especially since it was last minute. I'm hoping to get in another trip tomorrow - hopefully there will be something left!

Happy Shopping!!

One of the things you have to get used to about drugstore shopping is that you can't determine the best deal just by looking at the shelf price. If price alone determined the best deals, almost none of us would shop at CVS or Wags. Figuring the best deal is more like a formula: price - coupons - ECB + filler = net cost. The other big thing about CVS is that if you're rolling your ECB, you're never spending real money. That is the reason why I have done almost all my Christmas shopping at CVS. I think I spent a total of about $40 in real money on Christmas presents this year, thanks to CVS!

I agree, I have used them at least 100 times and on different days and times never been told that. Sounds like he was making up his own rules.
