Are these applicable to all CVS stores? I'm in NYC, and our store's circular is always a puny 4-pages with few of the deals from these larger circulars. I was in the store earlier, and on the price scanner the Listerine came up regular price at 4.29, and not 2.99.

Am I out of luck being in Manhattan?

I braved the storm & got a few things. I live in Boston, and was surprised they didn't have the A&H. They were already out of several items (Thermacare, Benefiber, etc.), but I still got some good deals.

No offense meant to anyone, but I went out at 11:30 today, first store had nothing left. Second store, just got 1 Sally Hanson, 1 cough drops & 2 HIP eye shadows. Both stores claimed they were "cleaned out." I know it's tempting, but I sure wish customers would try and take less than 4 or 5 cards worth of maximums.

First clue should have been that the scanner was not working, no extra coupons. Ok, no biggie. My regular one doesn't have that anyway, so it was just a bonus. There were NO sale tickets on the sale items that are free after ECB. Hmm. Very low stock anyhow. I got the last Excedrin and last Zantac. They were dented boxes, but took them anyway. No Benefiber, no Thermacare (got rainchecks, amazingly).

I bought a Gillette Fusion gift kit (11.99 for the person who was asking) and a pack of Fusion razor blades to get the ECB. Had the $4 off razor plus used the free shampoo and free body wash coupons. That was a pretty good deal.

Cashier was not coupon friendly or knowledgable. I had 2 Revlon coupons and they both beeped. Why do they always beep??? Halls coupon also beeped (I bought 2). She would not let me use the J&J coupon for the lesser amount of first aid kits. I had to buy 4. They would not adjust the coupon.

Cashier did not ring up the coupon for free body wash. Had to check my receipt and ask for the manager. I explained several times that they owed me $4.99 for the free item. He was not getting it. I was on the verge of returning the whole transaction. He didn't seem to care. He finally did give me $5 back in cash. He also said they would not adjust the coupon down for the J&J items. I also mentioned that there were no sale tags for many items throughout the store (Listerine, Excedrin, Zantac, Benefiber, Thermacare...). He said "well, it's a bad season for that." That's it. It literally took the cashier 20 minutes to ring up my stuff and try to figure out all the coupons. She and another cashier were exchanges glances and muttering to each other. I was in there for over an hour with a cranky 2 year old. That just added to the nightmare.

BUT, in the end, I did get an enormous amount of extra bucks and a bunch of free stuff. I do think I will be calling CVS customer service about the rude cashiers and manager, though. There's just no need when I had legitimate coupons and transaction.

Ok, thanks for letting me vent. I will probably hit my favorite store where I work tomorrow (Willow Grove, PA) to get a few things. They have a scanner, great managers, and usually a huge stock of stuff!
If I understand your post correctly, you should have only been able to use one of the free shampoo or body wash coupons. Those can ONLY be used when you buy the razor cartridges. If I read correctly, you only bought one package. If you received the money for the second free item, you should give it back.

Or just take 1 set of everything on the 1st day, and go back for "extras" on the 2nd. I have 2 cards, but I only use one. My health insurance sent the other, and I just haven't gotten around to "marrying" them. Plus, how would I keep all the ECB's straight? They're card-specific, right?

I made it to my closest store by around 9:30am and the store was mostly wiped out already (and it is not a 24 hour store). No Arm and Hammer, Right Guard, Benefiber, heat patches to be found anywhere.

I got next to the last eye shadow, 2 Sally Hansen nail polishes, 3 Listerine, 1 Crest pro-health, 3 of the Promax bars that are free on the monthly deal, 1 of the 4pk EAS nutrition drink, 1 EAS bar thing, 1 chocolate orange (needed for my mother's stocking), 1 Zantac, 1 Excedrin.

    Total OOP = $1.13!!
    Spent $52.09 ECB
    Earned $53.10 ECB!

Sadly, I did not have any $X/X coupons to use and the machine was out of paper. I did get a $10/$50 on my receipt and a $10/$30 on any holiday or gift purchase though. Guess I will need to try back tomorrow. The manager said that if they did not get more product in they would give rainchecks though.
