| TIP on making Sally Hansen Nail polish at MM! Okay so I had this great idea once I had already done one of the deals for the FAECB sally hansen nail lacquer.
if you have the beauty book coupon that is $3/2 then this will be a MM for you.
get one of the nail lacquers at 5.99 and a clearanced color for (50%off) 1.39 =7.29-$3/2 q=4.29!! wish I had figured this one out to begin with

| Re: TIP on making Sally Hansen Nail polish at MM! I wish I had been thinking straight this morning at cvs (well, all week really) because standing in cvs, I couldnt figure out for the life of me why I traded for the $3/2 because I was thinking for some reason the limit was 1 on the SH polish (duh, look at the spreadsheet right in front of me???) so I only bought one and didnt use the BB q.
I also was thinking for some reason that the monthly deal on complete solution was 5 and snatched up a third. ugh.
oh, AND I bought all 3 arm and hammer on one receipt so I cant turn in 2 rebates like I planned, AND didnt get a duplicate of the olay regenerist I bought to go toward the $15 gift card wyb 2 and the coupon booklet offer.... soooo many mistakes!!! |

| Re: CVS AD 12/21-12/27 **17 Freebies** Photos added post 1 Just had the worst CVS experience ever! It was at a CVS that I do not ever go to(Rosemont, PA), so no worries of this ever happening again!
First clue should have been that the scanner was not working, no extra coupons. Ok, no biggie. My regular one doesn't have that anyway, so it was just a bonus. There were NO sale tickets on the sale items that are free after ECB. Hmm. Very low stock anyhow. I got the last Excedrin and last Zantac. They were dented boxes, but took them anyway. No Benefiber, no Thermacare (got rainchecks, amazingly).
I bought a Gillette Fusion gift kit (11.99 for the person who was asking) and a pack of Fusion razor blades to get the ECB. Had the $4 off razor plus used the free shampoo and free body wash coupons. That was a pretty good deal.
Cashier was not coupon friendly or knowledgable. I had 2 Revlon coupons and they both beeped. Why do they always beep??? Halls coupon also beeped (I bought 2). She would not let me use the J&J coupon for the lesser amount of first aid kits. I had to buy 4. They would not adjust the coupon.
Cashier did not ring up the coupon for free body wash. Had to check my receipt and ask for the manager. I explained several times that they owed me $4.99 for the free item. He was not getting it. I was on the verge of returning the whole transaction. He didn't seem to care. He finally did give me $5 back in cash. He also said they would not adjust the coupon down for the J&J items. I also mentioned that there were no sale tags for many items throughout the store (Listerine, Excedrin, Zantac, Benefiber, Thermacare...). He said "well, it's a bad season for that." That's it. It literally took the cashier 20 minutes to ring up my stuff and try to figure out all the coupons. She and another cashier were exchanges glances and muttering to each other. I was in there for over an hour with a cranky 2 year old. That just added to the nightmare.
BUT, in the end, I did get an enormous amount of extra bucks and a bunch of free stuff. I do think I will be calling CVS customer service about the rude cashiers and manager, though. There's just no need when I had legitimate coupons and transaction.
Ok, thanks for letting me vent. I will probably hit my favorite store where I work tomorrow (Willow Grove, PA) to get a few things. They have a scanner, great managers, and usually a huge stock of stuff! |

the 2 stores I normally shop at and looked for this at, dont have spots on the shelf either. at store #1 I noticed a couple weeks ago they had about 15 of them on an endcap, on the end of the soda aisle near the middle of the store(not near the registers). I got there about 30 min after they opened and went straight for it (it was the only thing I really WANTED) and there were 3 (yay but wanted my 5 LOL)
at store #2 I hadnt scoped it out in advance but there was a cardboard display off to the side on the cleaning aisle. there was 1 pushed all the way to the back (almost didnt see it) |

Originally Posted by ticotexas It turns out, the store did have the Arm & Hammer kits out this morning on a special 2-day freebie display shelves right when you walk in. We went early and were able to find everything fortunately. Some items were not included on these special shelves, but could be found on their normal shelves. I've also realized my store is not calculating sales tax correctly on taxable items...wierd, but even more savings. Our Listerines were bundled with free Reach flossers too. $234 worth of goods costing $0.44 and about $18 OOP, which included a Sunday newspaper--without any coupons this week :-( and a bag of nuts due to going negative. The Listerines did not print ECBs, so the cashier printed it manually. So I suppose I could go get 5 more tomorrow. Since I am a newbie, things I learned: You can only use one ECB per item. (Because I thought I could give them more than just 2, I messed up and gave my smaller ECBs on a 2 item transaction that resulted in most of my OOP.) And the item has to match exactly that shown in the ad. I tried to buy the Iceland Health without sleep aid. That didn't work, but even so, after I returned it to buy the right one with sleep aid, the cashier ended up converting those ECBs back into a cash refund. I'm sure they're not supposed to do that. All around a great haul. I did overhear the 2 cashiers b*tching about us deal seekers with multiple transactions. "They'll be gone pretty soon," they lamented. Anyway, that's my story... |
ticotexas.....In TX, the sales tax is applied after the coupons are deducted, so this is probably what happened with your transaction!
