but is it worth the extra .99 to get the 2.99 ECB each? This is where I get in trouble couponing! LOL I want ECB's but I dont want to be silly and spend more, but I think on this one, since you get 2.99 ECB on each it would be worth it, since essentially I would be getting them free after ECB right?

Sorry, I am new to this and just did not want you to spend that extra .99 and now you have shown me that you can make a whole $2 by spending the extra money. Now, I must learn how to do this too. Thanks again for sharing. I really do enjoy this forum. Have a great weekend.

Yes, and yes. It's definitely worth it. Especially if you can spent 1.99 on them and get back 2.99 ECB. ECBs, RRs, rebates, etc. are the best ways to make shopping drug stores profitable, because they will nearly always have higher prices than Walmart, Target, etc. I was thrown when I first started to see how well people did at drug stores, since I'd noticed the high prices before. Eventually you may just be "buying" products to make money; the free stuff you get is just a bonus!

It is too late for anyone to benefit from this right now, but I just received two Zantac $5/1 Qs directly from the manufacturer!!

My DH thought I must have won the lottery when I opened the envelope.

The coupons read:

Save $5.00 on any Zantac product (24 count or larger). Exp. 12/31/09

Hopefully there will be another free after ecb deal soon; but if not, the expiration isn't until 12/31/09; so they are still extremely valuable.

I have learned to e-mail all the manufacturers for coupons I don't already have (for upcoming ecb deals), and this one really paid off!

I got one of those the other day. I used it for the $2.99 pack of CVS makeup removal towellettes that my wife likes. Worked fine. I have a feeling its one of those coupons that'll work on just about anything if you can justify it to the cashier that it's 'facial skin care'.

But they are actually a $1 money maker at CVS when you take into account the $2.99 ECB that prints for each one during the sale. Why would I want to pay WalMart $1 when CVS will basically pay me $1 for each one I get? Since there is a limit of 5, I will walk out of the store $5 richer in ECBs. Plus I don't have to go to Walmart.

I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I can spot a good deal when it is dumped in my lap, courtesy of CVS. :)
