I know that when (most?) people tried to buy the FAEBC items from the 2-day Halloween sale the night before, the ECBs did not print. I'm going to wait until Sunday.

on 2 day sales, you may (probably will) get the price early- as soon as your store switches over to the next sale......but you won't get the bucks unless you buy them on sunday or monday.

I have some ECB expiring this week. Here are the three deals I want to do on my card:

#1

(2) Right Guard @ $6 each = $12
(1) EAS Advantage Bar = $1.69
(1) ThermaCare = $2.49

Total = $16.18

Coupons

$3/15
(2) Right Guard $2/1
(1) Free EAS bar $1.69
Total after coupons = $7.49

Use $7 ECB

Total OOP on gift card from work promo = $.49 plus tax

Get back $16.18 in ECB

($12 from Right Guard, $1.69 from EAS, $2.49 from ThermaCare)

*****

#2

(2) Right Guard @ $6 each = $12
(1) Aussie shampoo & (1) Aussie Conditioner @ $2.99 each = $5.98
(1) ThermaCare = $2.49
Total = $20.47

Coupons

$3/$15
(2) Right Guard $2/1
$2/2 Aussie
Total after coupons = $11.47

Use $10 ECB

Total OOP on gift card from work promo = $1.47 plus tax

Get back $20.47 back in ECB

($12 from Right Guard, $2.49 from ThermaCare, $5.98 from Aussie Black Friday Raincheck)

*****

Order #3

(1) Right Guard @ $6 each = $6
(1) Thermacare @ $2.49 = $2.49

Total = $8.49

Coupons

(1) $2/1 Right Guard
Total after coupons = $6.49

Use $6 ECB

Total OOP on gift card from work promo = $.49 plus tax

Get back $8.49 back in ECB

($6 from Right Guard, $2.49 from ThermaCare)

*****

$2.45 plus tax OOP
$23 in Extra Care Bucks Used
$45.14 in Extra Care Bucks Back

Plus if the ThermaCare packages do not say trial size on them as one poster mentioned hers are not marked . . . Then I can bring my out of pocket down by another $1 (will need two $.50 items (will buy Crystal Light On the Go Packets as filler as not to loose ECB).

Any input is appreciated. I can't sleep so I am going to work on a deal for my husbands card where we have a $15 ECB. I am trying to only buy stuff we can use as we don't have any more room.

Default Still Can't Sleep . . .

Ok. This is what I figured out for my husbands card:

Order #1

(3) Right Guard = $18
- (3) $2/1 coupons = $12

(1) Excedrine = $3.99
- $2/1 coupon = $1.99

(1) EAS bar = $1.69

Total = $15.68

Use $15 ECB = $.68 plus tax

Get back $23.68 ECB

($1.69 EAS, $18 Right Guard, $3.99 Excedrine)

*****

Order #2

(2) Right Guard = $12
- (2) $2/1 coupons = $8

(2) Aussie Shampoo/Conditioner - $5.98
- (1) $2/2 coupon = $3.98

(1) Sally Hansen Nail Polish
- $.50/1 coupon = $5.49

Total = $17.47

Add $.99 card for friend we are going to for the holiday = $18.46

Use $18 ECB and pay $.46 plus tax

Get $23.47 in ECB back
($12 Right Guard, $5.98 Aussie (Black Friday Rain Check), $5.49 Sally Hansen)

*****

Order #3

(3) 12 packs of Coke = $11
-$1/3 Coke 12 packs = $10

(4) Powerade = $5

Total = $15

Use $3/15

Total after all coupons = $12

Use $12 in ECB (from Right Guard)

Still have $17.15 in ECB plus get another $5 back for buying the Coke (total $22.15)

Total ECB profit is $7.15

DO NOT DO THIS! You will get ZERO ecb's. These types of sales are date coded and will NOT print ECB's until the date in the computer system shows 12/21 weather it's 12:00:01 or 12:01 But it will NOT print at 11:59pm on 12/20 Even if your manager starts the sales early in your store.

Now you could buy all the stuff that day and get it done and call CVS CS and say the cashier said the ad is active and you bought the items but they forgot to mention the 2 day items wouldn't print and then CS will issue them all, but that is just a pain and waist of CVS CS time and draws attention to you and your "theft like" savings :)

ok, I think I finally have my plan for tomorrow laid out. Worst case is that they are out of everything. Let me know what you think- and if I am wrong. (NOT including tax in this)
