Re: ECBs were shorted during transaction

I called my CVS store and one of the other cashiers knew exactly who I was talking about and what happened and told me to come in tomorrow with my receipt.
I had to pay $7.01 OOP. So I was shorted $2.98 ECB of my $16.45 ECBs. This happened because the register would not take my original ECB coupons and the cashier manually entered the amount (wrong at that).
The CVS website says ECB cannot be partially redeemed so I would like to know if anyone has a clue as to what they are going to do - give me my ECB back or is it just a loss?
Instead of the coupon portion of my receipt looking like this:
-$.50 (Right Guard)
-$.50 (Right Guard)
-$3.00 (3/15)
-$10.47 (One ECB for 3 Crest Pro Health)
-$5.98 (One ECB for 2 Colgate)
Total: $20.45 worth of coupons I came in store with.
It looks like this:
-$.50 (Right Guard)
-$.50 (Right Guard)
-$1.47
-$3.00 (3/15 coup)
-$3.00
-$3.00
-$3.00
-$3.00
Total: $17.47 worth of coupons applied ($13.47 in ECB).
Like I said earlier, she did something weird/manual because my ECBs were not being accepted. The other three coupons were accepted flawlessly. I think she did her math wrong so I had to pay $7.01 OOP and lost $2.98 ECB.:frown: |
