CVS Ad 11/23-11/29 ~Ad scans added!

Newbie help wanted here.

I've looked through this CVS thread and the 101 thread. I have an ECB card and have started using it. But, there are a few things I don’t understand and would like a little help with.

1) What does DD's mean? As in someone above (Nanananbow..) wrote: "cards for my DD's, my brother, etc. " (Delightful Drummer? Dead Dog? Dumb ???_

2) What does WAG mean? A post on the first page talks about the WAGs format.

3) Do I need to buy everything on the WAG format on the first page of this thread? I'm a guy and I hardly ever use Maybelline Mineral Foundation. (I prefer L'Oreal products.)

4) How do you buy these things? I mean are you doing a separate transaction for each product or all at one time? It looks like I could go for the Complete Contact Solution, Right Guard Deodorant, Crest Spin Brush, Dial bar soap, Coricidin HBD and Duracell Batteries this week.

5) Did anyone confirm if there is a charge for activating the AMEX Gift Cards and how much?

And just a word on using them, I've had a lot of trouble in the past. When a cashier tries to use them, instead of scanning them and deducting the right amount, they have to key in the amount you want to use. If you dont' know how much is on the card, the cashier can't find out. This ends up leaving money on the card that you end up throwing away. The best way to use them is to just use them all at once on a purchase that exceeds the value of the card.

Question Number 5 - When I bought these cards last year for my neices for Christmas there was an activation fee. I think it was 4.95 per card.

Got a question -- Say I buy 3 AMEX cards from 11/23 - 11/29 at CVS and get $10 ECB and the $15 Gas Card MIR. The next week 11/30 - 12/6, Walgreens is offering the $15 Gas Card MIR if you buy 3 AMEX cards. Can I buy 3 more AMEX cards at Walgreens and get another $15 Gas Card or is it the same deal and 1 per household regardless of the store? Also, from 11/30 - 12/6, CVS has the $10 ECB without the gas card for 3 AMEX cards. I assume that these are the same ECBs as 11/23 - 29 and I can't get them again?

Here is the first line of the conditions on the rebate form:
CONDITIONS: Offer limited to 1 redemption per household across all American Express-branded gift cards regardless of denomination or purchase location.

So it looks like you can only do it one time.

I received an e-mail form AMEX yesterday advertising getting the giftcards for free when you buy them with your AMEX card. By free I mean no activation fee. So check it out if you have an AMEX card. The way stores and restaurants are going out of business,it is one of the few gift cards I feel comfortable buying.

I bought some BOGO kids toothpaste today. The first rang up as "2.19" the second rang up as "FREE" ().

I was able to use a q for each one, though.

Oui, back in January 2007 I emailed CVS asking when an item is B1G1F can I use two manufacturer's cents off coupons.

The email reply answer, "Oui."

Really, it is none of the store's / employee's business what you are purchasing and why you are purchasing it.

Oh, and one other followup.

Do all CVS' have the tear pads?

I haven't noticed them in the past.

Are they on the shelves or in a particular location?

I'd like to get some for the Duracell deal.

It never ever hurts to ask the help where one might find a tear pad coupon.

Many times the tear pads never get put up (they languish in the manager's office).

One of my local CVSs is keeping those CVS Duracell $5.00 / 2 coupons behind the counter because of the pad grabbers.

I was thinking what CVS should do is stamp / print on the back of the coupon the CVS region where the coupon originated / belongs.

So that if someone is purchasing them off of the Internet (eBay) the only place that will accept the coupon is from the CVS region of origin.

Something like:

"To prevent theft and resell of this CVS coupon, the CVS region of origin has been printed / stamped on the back of this coupon ... this is the only CVS region where this coupon can be redeemed.

Thank you for your understanding."
