That's why I never look ahead at the weekly threads. I do sometimes read individual threads like this one but I get too confused if I look at next week's weekly deal thread this week. Only when I'm done at CVS for the week.

History...

A couple of weeks ago Always were on sale for $2.99 - the only thing left on the shelf when I got to the store were the packs that are normally $6.99. They did not ring up on sale even though they fit the ad's limitations. The manager on duty at the time said, "Nope, they aren't on sale...only the ones originally $3.49 are on sale. Those are the only ones we got signs for."

When I called customer service that Monday, they confirmed that they INDEED WERE ON SALE PER THE AD'S LIMITATIONS.

When I spoke to my normal STORE manager (not the shift manager) he explained how STORES have been complaining to HEADQUARTERS for YEARS about this very thing. He also said he wasn't sure who's fault it was...Headquarters or Advertising or both - but that he would refund me the difference the next time I was in. 2 days later, $16.00 back in my pocket.

Moral of the story...don't blame the managers on this one...CALL CS FIRST THING Monday morning and complain to HEADQUARTERS AFTER they tell you they ARE INDEED on sale!!! Managers help us, not it's our turn.

Thanks! I will do just that if the store won't give me the difference back. I only got 2 of the cucumber & just wasn't paying attention until my total seemed high. But I had so many ecb's to use before the 29th, that it was really a blessing in disguise.

Not bad at all for under 5 bucks!

Just a warning. I did the above deal tonight. Bought the Garnier Eye Roller & the mascara no problem. However, when I added the towelletes (free item offered for buying a Garnier item that's $12.99+), it didn't count as a freebie but charged me. Eye Roller should've counted as a valid item purchased in getting free towelletes or cleanser because there isn't a statement that says to exclude the Eye Roller from that promotion. Will be calling CS tomorrow.

Be sure to check those bag sizes. We weren't able to get ANY of the Creme Savers because they only had those in the little bags at our store. Same for the majority of the mint ones.
However, the Sours did count towards the deal here.

I got 5 of the razors. The melon didn't have a sale tag on it and the cashier said she didn't know why it wasn't on sale. She pushed it through, though. One of the blue ones had free headphones. Cool! Too bad I'm out of coupons.
