i dont no why it beeped but sorry about your experience. i feel terrible when my coupons get rejected too.
Oh I am so frustrated. Please help me. Am I wrong? I am aware that CVS has the one Q per item policy. Here was my transaction tonight:
4 CVS suncreens at BOGO 1/2 off
2 of the 3pk CVS paper towels
2 Hershey's Bliss Candies
I was going to use the follow Qs:
3 $1 off CVS sunscreens
1 $2 off CVS skincare
2 $1 off CVS papertowel 3pk or greater
$3 off $10 CVS brand purchase
The register beeped after the cashier scanned the second suncare Q and she told me the register wouldn't take it and I couldn't use it. I told her I was confused b/c I thought the policy was 1 Q per item and that CVS has isssued the suncare Qs to me. She said she couldn't take them. I asked if she could call a manager for approval and she said she was a shift manager and that I could call customer service if I wanted and she pointed the phone to me. I then asked her to call since it was her customer service line. They were closed so that didn't help. She then proceeded to tell me that the registers had changed and if it beeped there was no way for her to push them through. I know that's bull. She was very unhelpful and really acted as if she cared less about helping me.
There was a line forming so I just left my items behind. I am sooo upset. Do I misunderstand their policy? I know the beauty handbook $2 Q can't be used twice in the same transaction but their own scanner Qs that print. I left the store in a mess and I'm pretty frazzled right now. I feel like an idiot.

I had something similar happen with the $1/2 Gold Emblem coupons from the scanner. I used (2) and even though they had different numbers/different expiration dates the 2nd one beeped & my cashier did push it thru.
Most CVS issued coupons do say "one per customer." That's why it beeps. If you want to use more than one of those coupons, you generally have to do them in separate orders.
I hate when that happens. I never have had a problem at CVS (knock on wood) with regards to using coupons. However I do have problems at Dollar General (in fact I had trouble a few days ago and I was only using 1 coupon total). It always amazes me when they use the "the computer/register won't let me & I can't push it through" excuse, because if they wanted to they could. I've worked at several retail stores and there is ALWAYS a way, lol.
At the video game store I worked at, I could just enter in 'discount item ... $X.XX' and call it good. Like the computer cares, the store still gets redeemed for it (:
I had the same problem with the exact same coupon and my cashier didn't push it through. I just made a note to myself at the time to not try to use more than one of the same CVS scanner coupons in any transaction. Makes it a bit more challenging, but that's part of the fun of it, for me at least.
yes if they are $/$ anything CVS coupons, it is one per customer. I consider this one per transaction. Please correct me if I am wrong, thanks.
Interesting. The bottom of my Q from the scanner states:
Extracare card must be presented to get these savings. Excludes prescriptions. Other exclusions apply. No cash back. Tax charged on pre-coupon price where required.
If the one coupon per transaction was a policy, wouldn't you think that it would be a big enough one for CVS to put on the coupons themselves. Seems much better than the "other exclusions apply" lets make it up as we go. The inconsistency is horrible!
I am probably wrong, but wouldn't you interpret the "one per customer" as meaning only one of that particular customer. In that case, OP did just that.
