Default Worst expierence ever at cvs...need help

So i went to cvs yesterday(not my normal cause i was visting my parents and went to the one by them) and the cashier was so rude. and she first scanned my 1 card and before completing the transaction picked up my keys scanned my other card and i was like are you going to scan the right one again she told me no cause it will just use the first card she had scanned and it didnt it went against my other card so no ebcs printed out. I called CS and told them nothing printed and they asked me what i got and gave me the ebcs for them that will print tommorrow but the top of my recipt matches the 1st card i used but the name on it is mine not hubbys name thats on the first card. So i just thought it didnt print out because of that and thought that when i used my card today that they would print out for me. well when i went back today i used my card my ebcs didnt print out so i asked why and she told me cause i got the same stuff yesterday(same cashier as the day before) well i told her that i had used a different card yesterday and she went on a rant about how its 1 cvs card per family and that is all cvs allows and then the manager came over and was rude as anything telling me that my ebcs didnt print yesterday because i had used it up cause it said so on my reciept and i tried telling her what happened yesterday and she told me i was wrong and that its not her issue if the ecbs dont print and i have to call coorperate. then i had coupons for the travel size johnson and johnsons and she told me i couldnt use a 1.00 q on something that was .99 i said to her that i could and that just to take the .99 off and she said the computer would not let her do that. she did that with all 3 of them that i had so i had her take them off the order and i asked for my qs back and she said shed stick them in the bag. so no ecbs printed out either today or yesterday but CS did give me the ones onto the card yesterday when i called them but i lost out on the ones today. when i went back to get my qs they gave me a hard time telling me they gave them back to me but when they went threw the bag they found one and the girl said crap and handed me my q i asked where the rest went and she said she didnt know ( im assuming since she said crap that they threw the other ones out but didnt realize they didnt get them all out of the bag) the manager told me not to worry because she had already emailed coorperate telling them to flag my card because i cursed at her and that soon i wouldnt be shopping with my card. and then went on to tell me that i was abusing cvs by having 2 cards 1 being mine and 1 being my husbands and that i was getting more deals then i am allowed cause i have 2 cards. i asked her for her name and she told me she didnt have to give it to me. So i emailed cvs hopefully they will call me back they were so rude and then to tell me she emailed them to get my card taken away omg.

are they even allowed to tell me i cant use 2 cards? can they not give me back my qs that i didnt use and tell me that only CS can give me my ebcs? How do i make sure i get all the ebcs im supposed to have?

I would call corporate immediately and tell them everything that happened. And never go back to that particular location again.

They should have handed you your coupons back not stuck them in the bag, among other things that should have been done.

I have a card, my husband has a card. too. He is a customer as well.
To avoid issues with both cards on one key ring, I keep his on a tiny carabiner clip on the big key ring that i can easily unclip and hand to the cashier to scan. If I want her to use mine instead, I unclip the carabiner and hand the cashier my keys.

I hope corporate fixes the issues for you that arose from that location of CVS. Sounds like the manager and cashier are in cohoots and that this isn't the first time they have done this. It also sounds like "we emailed corporate and flagged your card" is just a bunch of bluff, I would not worry about that.

That is very unfortunate that you had that experience. They sound hostile to couponers and I would not go back there again if they were stocked to the gills with every freebie out there!
I agree - write a careful letter to cs explaining what happened. It probably won't change anything, but it is all you can do, besides not shopping there again.
They are the losers here - losing business. They just don't understand how CVS owes it's success to it's incentives through ECB offers. Sure, some smart people like us will take advantage of every offer we can, and have low oop, but we are still increasing their sales no matter how you look at it.

That's awful! Yes, you are allowed to have two cards. You and your husband are both eligible to be customers as CVS. Today I used a $4/$20 coupon (only good on 4th of July) and when he scanned it, he asked me if I had more than one CVS card. I told him yes. He didn't care at all. He told me that the coupon was for the other card, which it wasn't because it had my husband's name on it. Anyway, he didn't care at all that my husband had a card too and he believed me and made the coupon work.

What about people who both have a card, then get married - is one supposed to give up their CVS card? It makes no sense. Also, wouldn't they be at least a little bit tiny careful if they only wanted one per family? The CVS's we've been to only ask for your name. They don't usually even ask for the address - I don't think they care.

Sorry for a ramble...but I think you are in no way breaking any rules. I'm so sorry you had all those issues!

I'd return everything I'd bought at that location (especially if the ECB didn't print) and NEVER shop at that location again. And who's ever heard of a manager refusing to give their name? :hectic1: When you write to corporate, I'd give the day and time you were at the store. They sould be able to know who was working on that day.

They definitely should be able to figure if out with the date/time you came in (and maybe a description of the nasty employees. I'm a manager at a store and the first thing I do when I hear about a complaint from a customer is pull out the old schedule book and see who was there and ask for a description so if can be taken care of.

I mean that whole experience is ridiculous! People like that should not work in retail actually they shouldn't work with the public period. No one should treat other people like that.

As for the "flagging" you card while there may/may not be a way to do this....Not that I think this mean person would taken the time to do anyways. She doesn't seem to like her job anyways and in my experience they don't take extra time to do things like that. And it should effect opening a new card if they did somehow mess with the other. Grr it just presses my buttons when people give you the run around.

Lastly I wouldn't be so sure about them not responding to your complaint. I had a complaint at walmart about a year ago and I thought for sure nothing would come of it. I put the complaint in online cause I didn't have time that particular day at the store and a manager from the store called back a few weeks later. Unfortunately by then I had misplaced the receipt so I couldn't give him some of the necessary info to figure out which cashier it involved. But again he got the time, date of transaction and a description of the employee.

MORAL....SAY THE RECEIPT! hehe at most stores the receipt will give corporate everything thing they need to know about transaction.

It sounds like they were very unprofessional and the manager should have given you her name. In retail, managers are generally aware that it's better to bend the rules a little than have an angry customer spreading the word about their place of business. I've shopped at various CVS stores around town and some are definitely friendlier and more tolerant to couponers than others.

However, this part of your post caught my eye:

You didn't specify at what point in the transaction you cursed at her, but I would venture to guess that might have had some influence on how she treated you. She shouldn't have taken it personally because unfortunately that happens a lot in retail, but they are only human. As to whether or not she can flag your account - she was probably just threatening you, but if an employee is giving you a hard time I would step back and calmly explain that you will be writing to district manager and corporate. It's much more effective and will help your case when you actually do complain.

This is hard to read, due to the lack of paragraphs... :frown:

Like someone else said, just return everything. This case is kind of stricky because the rules in the paper does say limit one offer per househould. So, if you go in there letting them know you have two cards knowing they COULD give you a problem then it's really not much you can do. I never shop with two cards at the same time because I don't want their hassle and I know if I went in with two cards in hand they'd have a fit. They are already jealous of the deals people get and are looking for anyway to give you a problem, don't help them out by letting them know you have multiple cards.

I agree, take it all back and tell them you will NEVER be back!
My CVS even told me that I could have as many cards as I wanted!
Sorry you had such a bad experience.
