Re: CVS ad 11/5-11/11 256mb is not huge, it will probably hold about 120 ~3-minute songs. I'd check to see what features it has, whether it can pick up AM/FM frequencies, does it have stop/play/skip buttons (I personally hate players like the iPod Shuffle where you can't control which songs play and in what order), and so on. If you're looking to roll some ECBs into a Christmas present, it might fit the bill.

Re: CVS ad 11/5-11/11 My CVS has a 512 MB Craig MP3 player for about $79, I was looking at it yesterday because I want to give my cousin one of these for X-mas, since she always gets my daughter something every year.
I would say $79 is a good price for an MP3 player, I got my daughter a Sony one with the same capacity for a little over $100 last year. As far as a 256 MB one, that's not much in the way of songs if you really think about it, those little players fill up faster than you think.
Re: CVS ad 11/5-11/11 Their will be monthly deals, but they will more than likely be in the next ad. The ones we are on now are saying that they dont end until the 4th and here lately they havent been advertising the monthly deals until the 2nd ad for the month. If you start seeing endcaps that are ECB items and they arent things that are being advertised in the ad then more than likely that will be a monthly item.
Re: CVS ad 11/5-11/11 I got 3 of these a few weeks ago when they were $34.99. 2 are for the kids for Christmas and 1 for me. I really like it so far. The ear buds are a bit uncomfortable if I wear them for a long time but other than that no problems. It has a slot for an SD memory card up to 512MB so that you can add a bunch of more music. Nice features considering the price; "lock" button, built in microphone for recording, easy to read screen. I think it is a great 'starter' mp3 player especially since the kids are only 10 & 12 and I'm not a tech geek like DH. I also found a really cute red cell phone case @ Target for $3.24 that fits it perfectly. I just looked at the package and it says it will hold 4 hours of music, with a memory card it should be 12 hours or so.
